The latest Illustrator build (v29.2) now offers a way to see the distances between a selected object and an object hovered over / edges of an artboard.

    1. Click on the object you want to measure the distance from
    2. Press Opt/Alt and hover over the object that you want to measure distance to
    3. You can also hover over empty area to see the distance from the selected object and the artboard boundaries

Please try it and come back with the feedback.

A friend (thanks Cary) is remembering me that an option Full Document is available, but with this option it's the entire document that is exported and not a selected range of artboards exported as a unique Multiple Pages PDF.

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the feedback. Want to give an update that we have removed the dialog, and the new experience is available in our latest release build – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now, in case you want to give it a try. Now, there will be no blocking message, we will show a “soft message” which will auto-dismiss .

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

For the record, I'm not a dev or a product manager (so no power on this) but I'm trying to push this idea since few years.
So I'd like more votes to help promoting this idea :)

    Hi John,

I voted because I think an instant swap with one click between 2 colors would be great.

That being said, if you're selecting all of your icons at ones, it's a 3 steps process using Recolor Artwork: click on the button, drap the swatch and click OK.
