I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.2.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!
An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedIf you're using a mac, your computer has two "Library" folders.
macOS > Library
macOS > Users > {computer name} > Library (but it's a hidden folder)The "Caches" folder is in that second one.
You can get there by selecting the Finder menu item "Go to Folder" under the "Go" dropdown, then typing this address in there:
"~/Library/Caches/Adobe/"
From there, follow the steps that Rama noted above.
An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedI can confirm, that Rama's workaround does the job! Thanks so much.
An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedI've encountered this same problem in dark theme, it's a pretty ugly appearance and happens any time I access the home screen.

An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedI've also noticed that it isn't consistent with different new documents. For example, when you make a new document based on the "Letter" sized template, Snap to Pixel's default is off. But if you start based on the "iPhone X" template, its default is on.
why
An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedExactly. It'd be great if you could set different defaults for the Snap to Pixel, Snap to Grid, Snap to Guides, and Snap to Point options.

An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedI agree with this. Having all 3 panels available, CMYK, HSB, and RGB, would make color editing much easier. It'd also simply be helpful to have this so that the hex code can be easily accessible at any time, solving this issue here:

An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedI agree with this. Pathfinder items are only available on the panels, so I've had to resort to macros to activate them with shortcuts.

An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedI agree. I sometimes work with dozens of Illustrator documents open at the same time, so if I want to reorder them, I have to carefully drag a tab horizontally along the narrow 30 px tab bar to successfully reorder. Otherwise, the tab goes to the end!
It'd be nice to have features that auto order, but I'd say that's less important. It's MUCH more important to improve the experience of reordering tabs manually.

An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedI second this. I use Mojave's dark theme, and it's jarring that the window prompts still use the Finder light theme.

An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedLike Egor said below, I would really appreciate it of the Snap to Grid toggle was visible right next to the Snap to Pixel toggle in the top control bar.
So far, the only toggle that you can customize as an indicator is Snap to Pixel. It'd be awesome if all the toggles in the Properties Panel could be customized to be persistent in the control bar as well.
An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedThere is a GUI indicator for the guides, snap options, and ruler and grids in the Properties panel. The problem is that those options go away as soon as the user has selected an object.
The key there is that those indicators need to be PERSISTENT, not contextual.

Does this problem happen with the latest Illustrator build?
If it does — please provide additional information:
1. What is the format of the document used, .ai or .pdf?
2. Does it happen with all the the type objects in a document, or only for some specific fonts, or point / area type only?
3. Do these have any effects or custom appearance applied?
If you have a chance to create a test file with this issue reproducible — please share it in the comments.

Thanks for looking into this. Looking forward to seeing some progress on squashing this bug.
An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedYup, this is still an issue that I'm experiencing (I'm the original poster). I still haven't been able to find a pattern for why Illustrator acts this way.
An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedAnother update: It seems that "workaround" doesn't work permanently. After a couple times, it continues to do the bug, but relative to the new "last" artboard you created. **** I hate this bug.
An error occurred while saving the comment Griff commentedUpdate: I've noticed that this issue only occurs when there are at least 2 or more artboards on a document, and the current artboard is NOT the last artboard.
A workaround that seems to fix this issue temporarily is duplicating the last artboard, or adding a new artboard so that there is a new "last" artboard. You can always go back and delete your new artboard later.
But I should note that deleting the final artboard doesn't resolve the issue. Instead, Illustrator just zooms to whatever the new "last" artboard is.

It looks like it's an issue with Astute Graphics dynamic corners, if that helps the issue.
