Hello Isa,
We can confirm the issue and are sorry that you experience it. We are working on a fix for this issue.
Thanks for reporting the issue.
Dirk
An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedI'm hoping that Adobe will update the ENTIRE UI for SVG filters. Possibly a new software addition to the suite? Creating graphics that export from Adobe Illustrator to SVG for responsive web design won't work since I need to know how to edit the filters in code in order to change basic styling such as color, transparency, x:y ratios etc. Even the default SVG filters bitmap. I'm looking into working with Inkscape which is native to SVG since years later, this is still not fixed.
I also can't use the Adobe Stock Illustrations subscription artwork since the artwork effects that use basic filters like blurs, blends, drop shadows, etc all rasterize when exporting to SVG. That means that Adobe Stock illustrations cannot be used for responsive development unless I rebuild in Adobe XD.
The inner shadows update in XD helped but does not satisfy the overarching problem of SVG filter editing within Illustrator. I'm getting really frustrated since this has largely affected our workflow with the developers. The effects we're trying to achieve are available in other programs like Inkscape and Figma. Please, address this soon.
I work on Apple iMac, Big Sur 11.6 (upgrade tonight) and am current in Adobe CC. As an Adobe user for 2+ decades, I'm loyal up to a point. Thanks in advance for your response.

An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedLots of problems with exporting SVGs. Particularly with the SVG filters. Here's a few open tickets going back to 2017.
Hoping Adobe can address this soon. Illustrator seems to have outgrown it's capacity to solve the SVG problem and most likely will need a free standing, native SVG program. Crossing fingers...

An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedAgree with Edu Couchez. I'm a decades-long Adobe Suite user but the SVG issue seems to be overly complex for an Illustrator programatic solution. Just the fact that you have to use DIFFERENT filters to achieve the effects of drop shadow and blends is an indicator that native SVG tools need their own program (like Inkscape).
Can Illustrator not release their own competitive version? I work in XD but do not code. My only SVG export workaround is to build vector within XD. I've written to Skillshare Illustrator tutorial experts and their response to the SVG problem is "out of my league". I am finding more beneficial discussion in developer conversations. I am a graphic designer, largely print design, but also developing designs for a dev team to implement through our JIRA workflow. The deadend for our team so far is Adobe Illustrator and has been for a number of years. So I'm now being forced to buy/train other software to solve Adobes problems in this area.Appreciate all of the open discussions and hoping that these exchanges can motivate Adobe to move more quickly. Many of the open tickets on this topic go back to 2017!
Thanks very much! :)

Adobe. Make It an Experience.Melanie Bass Pollard supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedI am still unable to export SVG filters in the latest 2022 release. There are multiple tickets open on this deeper issue.... Looking to purchase templates or filter packs that will solve this before leaving the Adobe Suite for Figma/Inkscape alternative solutions. Hoping for some Adobe responses to multiple user open tickets on this issue.

Hi Beth,
Thanks a lot for reporting the issue here. We are currently looking into when we write add the title element and when we don’t.
For more context: The problem you mentioned at CPro was the tool tip that shows up when hovering the mouse above an -embedded SVG document.
Greetings,
DirkAn error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedI am experiencing enormous issues with SVG filter effects issues. They rasterize when I have a drop shadow, gaussian blur, blend or any other effect. If I use the SVG filters, I'm limited to what's in the default and have to know code language to change the x/y, transparency, colors etc. The SVG filters are missing the UI. Figma and Inkscape have solved this. Wondering when we'll see an update to the SVG filter exports that have open tickets going back to 2017. The tiny path is also tied to this issue.
For design controlled stylization I'm looking for, no luck. This includes all of the downloaded vector illustrations from my Adobe Stock Illustration subscription. All render unusable with coding knowledge. I'm now looking for filter packages and/or templates I can purchase that will solve the problem.
Or I have to leave the Adobe Suite and purchase/train in a new software to solve the SVG export problem. I would rather be training in XD to maximize my efficiency. Sigh.....

This is expected to be fixed with the latest 28.5 build. Please check if it works for you.
An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedPlease! Update or create a new software to the Adobe Suite that works with native SVG filter effects. I can't use any of the Adobe Stock Vector Illustrations from my month subscription OR use them in Adobe XD for responsive web design. There are multiple open tickets in User Voice on this going back to 2017 that are still open. I am unable to use the SVG filter editing because I do not know code. Nor do I want to. If Inkscape and Figma have deployed a workaround, I know Adobe can. Thanks so much!

An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedPlease address this. The export issues for SVG- in particular the effects filter such as drop shadows, blends, gaussian blurs, do not export without the Tiny P/S, rastering and even with the embedded SVG filters, bitmapped results. None of the Adobe Stock Vector images that use filter effects are usable for responsive web design unless you know code and/or can edit the SVG filters within the panel which is missing the UI.
I am researching a migration away from Adobe suite for web design as a result. It's been 3+ years and I can't wait. Figma and Inkscape are already there.... As a user of Adobe for decades, I hate to abandon ship but really have no choice.... -

An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedI am still unable to export an SVG with the most current 26.0.1 CC version. I work on an iMac in BigSur 11.6.
The problem as I see it, is tied to effects filters which I understand must use "SVG" filters editable within the SVG panel. Regardless of the filter defaults, the UI is missing for filter effects editing requiring css code skills to edit blurs, drop shadows, Gaussian Blurs, blends, etc filters such as simple color and transparency changes. Even using the simple defaults give bitmapped results. I have contacted an Adobe Illustrator expert with tutorials on Skillshare but their response is "out of my league". I am no expert in Illustrator since I don't fully use the software but have used it for many years. If I have missed critical knowledge on how to use the program for SVG export, I do apologize and am eager to learn. A few of the problems I'm observing are:
(1) Existed going back years- Several open tickets for addressing SVG export problems going back to 2017
(2) Problem severely limits the ability to use filters in responsive web design without code expertise.
(3) ALL Adobe Stock vector Illustrations that use blends and other filter effects are unusable for responsive design. Meaning my subscription for web development is not usable. (!!!)
(4) Forces creation of Vector based artwork with filter effects in Adobe XD which severely limits design.
(5) Interrupts the work flow process of integrated Adobe graphics across their programs which is why I chose to train and use Adobe XD in the first place.
(6) Figma and other web development software is able to utilize vector based filter effects with success. There are templates available at Envato that I would purchase to work around the SVG problem but they are not compatible with Adobe's XD.
(7) I have not been able to source filter packages that will do what I need done with/without code editing.
(8) Inkscape has developed free shareware that native SVG. I do not want to use another program but am running out of time for the SVG export issue to be solved by Adobe without impacting my client relationships which it has already done. I've been using Adobe for decades and would hate to abandon ship....Can Adobe please provide an update/solution to this in the first quarter of 2022. I would also ask they update the status on the many SVG export issue open tickets. I anticipate a new software addition to the Adobe CC Suite, like Inkscape, that is native to SVG. If not, I will have to train in another program that has solved this critical issue: SVG filter effects export.
Thanks very much.

Just a general status update. We are currently and will continuously improve SVG import support in Adobe Illustrator. We are currently working on solving the issues mentioned in this report. Please feel free to open new bug reports here on uservoice if you are experiencing additional/untracked issues.
An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedThis problems has needed solving for many years. None of my Adobe Stock Subscription images that use filters such as blur, drop shadow, gaussian blur, will export as SVG without rasterzing. which means they are useless for clean, responsive web design. Using the SVG filters that are available in the default is very limited and requires coding abilities within the effects panel since it is missing UI design. Even with the SVG filters defaults, often they still display with bitmapped effects that are not usable. I do not code and am not able to add that to my training list.
My only alternative is to simplify the design in Adobe XD OR train in free shareware Inkscape which has native SVG filters. Even if an entirely new Adobe program is created for SVG design, manipulation and export of the filters will be desirable. My other alternative is to migrate to Figma which has successful Neumorphic/filter effect success. I chose XD for the dev team because of the integrated Adobe products which I use daily (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge and Acrobat). This vital Adobe requirement to provide robust tools for responsive web design is a must. Can Adobe please update the status? It appears to have stalled in 2018.Melanie Bass Pollard supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Melanie Bass Pollard commentedThis is an issue for me for last couple of months. I have been unsuccessful in exporting any file generated in Adobe Illustrator and exported through the Export panel to SVG. I lose the drop shadows, long shadows and anything else that is complex, masked or with multiple layers. This includes also the file used from Adobe Stock vectors.
I'm testing in both iMac/High Sierra 10.13.3; Macbook Catalina 10.15.5. I am importing the files into Adobe XD and exporting to Zeplin. Zeplin is also assisting in testing this problem since the exports that look correct in XD but when exported to Zeplin, do not retain the transparency and rasterize drop shadows. The shadows are tested as Illustrator generated drop shadows and also tested as XD created drop shadows. I've tried exporting just the artwork as SVG from Illustrator as well exporting the SVGs from XD and Zeplin. Nothing works.
When I open the SVG files, they generate an alert modal of "The following items could not be imported properly. Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny".The development team I work with has isolated the problem to be in how Adobe generates SVGs.

Hi Everyone,
We have fixed this bug in our latest release – v 24.2.1 which is available worldwide now. Thanks for your patience on this.
Please note that after upgrading you might still see that Align To sets itself to Align to Key Object. If you see this, please manually set the Align To to the required setting, and this reported bug will not happen again. You’ll need to this one time only.
The reason Align To might get set to Key Object after update is because Ai remembers your last Align To on subsequent launches as well. So, if your last Align To was Key Object before quitting/upgrading, after first multi-selection, it will set itself to Key Object. After you manually change it one-time, it will work fine.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
