We have released an update (version 28.6) which takes care of this particular ask. Please upgrade your Illustrator application to latest versions and let us know your feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commentedIt does not belong there in the first place, let alone on EVERY contextual properties panel. Even if we collapse it so that just the title shows, it still eats up space and drives something (typically Quick Actions) off the bottom of the panel/page, making us have to scroll down to access it. Stop foisting this feature on us. REAL users of your program want to create their own artwork - we want AI tools (Adobe Illustrator), not AI tools (Artificial Intelligence), and if we want to use the Text to Vector Graphics tool, we are certainly capable of accessing it on our own.
Just Me supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commentedPlease take this option off of EVERY properties panel. No matter what type of object is selected, even if it's a dimension or nothing is selected, Text to Vector Graphics (Beta) is in the Properties Panel, eating up space, driving useful tools, like the Quick Actions, off the bottom of the page, and you have to scroll down to see or use them. This tool doesn't need to eat up so much space and attention, and it doesn't need to be on ANY of the contextual properties panels, let alone EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. We are all perfectly capable of accessing it on its own and don't want or need it eating up space that should be reserved for the proper tools/settings for the selected item. Give it its own panel and be done with it.

For some weird unknown reason Adobe decided to NOT include the 'Text to Vector Graphic (Beta)' function to Illustrator Beta. You have to install the actual current release to access it.
It makes zero sense, but this is how it is done, We had the similar problem with Generative Recolor before, and now it’s the same thing again.
An error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commentedPlease remove Text to Vector Graphic from the Properties panel, or, at the very least, move it to the very bottom of the panel. Some of us prefer to use our own graphic design skills, and it just gets in the way.

An error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commentedI've been asking about this for YEARS for EVERY Wacom tablet that I've used. Both Wacom and Adobe act as if they've never heard of this issue and/or blame it on the other company. Just solve this problem PLEASE.
* the workaround is if you have the touch feature enabled on your Wacom, you can alt-click using your finger, but this interrupts your workflow. We SHOULD be able to Alt-click with the stylus. I certainly don't want to switch back and forth between view on GPU and view on CPU in order to use this function (and that didn't always solve the problem, although it doesn't seem to lock up when using view on CPU in the current beta version).

Adding presets for the Dimension Tool is in the plans.
Thanks for logging the request anyway. Upvote it still if you find it useful.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

Thank you for reporting the issue. We have added the issue to our backlog.
With Best Regards,
Raghuveer SinghAn error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commentedAnother update and still no fix for this issue. Come on Adobe, you've known about this issue for YEARS. It occurs when alt-clicking with the pen tool to move the center of rotation or reflection. It happens EVERY time, no matter what version of Illustrator or what Windows computer I'm using. The problem doesn't occur when you tap the Wacom tablet with your finger (using the touch feature), when using a mouse, or when using a built-in trackpad, but doping any of those things seriously interrupts your workflow. Seriously, SOMEONE at Adobe must use a Wacom tablet with Illustrator so that they can test it out! If you just click somewhere and then rotate the object about the point, it works, but not when you alt-click. Sometimes you want to alt-click so that you get the dialog box where you can specify the rotation angle and click the copy option. GET THIS FIXED!!!!!!
An error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commented2023 and this is STILL not fixed. To clarify, If you activate the rotate tool with a single-click or the shortcut R, and alt-click somewhere, it will move the center of rotation to that point and the rotate dialog box pops up, allowing you to specify the angle and whether to make a copy. This works just fine with a trackpad, mouse or the TOUCH feature of a Wacom tablet, but NOT with the Pen/Stylus on the Wacom. When using the stylus, there is a lag of anywhere from a second to as much as over a minute for that dialog box to pop up (during which time, Illustrator will not respond to any other clicks, like to change to another tool or something), and it doesn't move the center of rotation to where you clicked - instead, it moves the center of rotation to wherever the cursor happens to be when the box pops up. I am using an Intuos Pro on Windows - all Wacom drivers, computer drivers, Windows and Adobe Illustrator are all fully updated. This has happened in every version of Illustrator going back as far as I can remember (at least as far back as 2017), on multiple computers using different versions of windows AND using different Wacom pen-touch tablets. It is ALWAYS the same issue and it is repeatable by everyone that I have asked to test it on their system. if you just click (instead of alt-click), it does move the center immediately and lets you freely rotate the object around the new center of rotation, but sometimes we want that dialog box where we can type in the degrees of rotation. The same problem happens with the reflect tool. The workaround is to tap the tablet using your finger, using the touch feature instead of using the stylus. This is very disruptive to the workflow. Again, this problem has existed for YEARS and has not been addressed.

As per the comment, the way to call the dialog and to define the arbitrary rotation pivot is to Opt/Alt+Click the desired position when the tool is picked.
However, this does not work well sometimes, especially with a pen and a tablet, and you can upvote the problem here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/32613901

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.4.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.
Thanks & Regards,
Raghuveer SinghJust Me supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commented2023 and this problem is still happening - I know it's been reported many times over the years. It occurs when you alt-click using a Wacom pen when using the Rotate tool.. The Rotate dialog box is supposed to appear. That little blue target/icon representing the center of rotation "sticks" to the cursor, for lack of a better description. You cannot escape or click to another tool until the rotate dialog box pops up, which may take MINUTES to happen, and occasionally never happens at all. It's like there's an enormous lag (sometimes minutes or infinite) before the program registers the click. The center of rotation is then relocated to where the cursor happens to be at the second that the rotate dialog box opens. This happens EVERY time when using the Wacom pen when View With GPU is enabled. It does not happen when it is changed to View with CPU, but I want to use view with GPU for the animated zoom feature, which is exceptionally useful. This has happened in every version of Adobe that I've ever had (now using CC - fully updated), in at least 3 different versions of Windows, on 6 different computers and 4 different models of Wacom tablets. All drivers are up to date, and my computer is a high-end computer with more than sufficient specs. This problem does NOT occur if I use the touch feature (ie my finger) instead of the pen on the Wacom table (Intuos Pro), the built-in trackpad on my laptop, or a USB or BT mouse. It ONLY happens with the Pen and when View with GPU is enabled. Switching from the pen slows down the workflow (and it's easy to forget to switch to using the finger instead of the pen), and I do not want to use view with cpu (as I mentioned, I prefer to use the animated/scrubby zoom, which is only available when using the GPU.
If I just click with the pen (instead of alt-clicking), it works fine - I am able to relocate the center of rotation and free rotate the object. However, sometimes the dialog box is needed in order to specify the degrees of rotation or to click on make a copy).
The issue also occurs with the reflect tool, but it does not take as long for the dialog box to pop up. However, by the time that the dialog box does pop up, the cursor is no longer in the exact place that I clicked, because it is impossible to hold your hand still enough that the cursor hasn't moved a little bit. Just like with the rotate tool, this does not happen when tapping on the Wacom tablet with your finger instead of the pen, with the built-in laptop trackpad or with a mouse.

Radial, Mirror, Grid Repeat objects are available in the latest desktop versions, 25.1 and higher.
There are some improvements still to be made, and the team is aware of some of them.
Please search for the related requests here on UserVoice forums or add new ones if you can’t find a suitable one.An error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commentedI'm not sure if this falls under effects or tools, but I've seen the videos of this feature for the ipad, and it would be really useful on the desktop version. We pay a FORTUNE for this program, and desktop users should have EVERY feature available for the iPad TABLET. Please add this in the next update.

An error occurred while saving the comment Just Me commentedOK - this was from 3 yrs ago, but it is still not available - This feature would be SO useful! I find myself creating lines from the vertices of the shape in order to find the geometric center of the shape.
