This issue was reintroduced in MacOS update Ventura. The team ran into another issue while implementing the workaround suggested by Apple. While the team revisits this issue, users can use workaround this issues by paste through context menu. Thank you all for the patience.

An error occurred while saving the comment L Coyle commentedThis is absolutely crucial for working in Illustrator - the iPad needs a magic wand tool, and the ability to select objects by the same color. Integration with isolation, so that you can select by color within groups with the magic wand would also be important.

Saving custom presets is now available in BETA starting V28.6.578.
With this new change, you can now configure your own document preset and save it for later use. To access this functionality, configure your preset from the File > New dialog (only for the modern one, the legacy dialog don’t provide it) and click the Save Preset button next to the document’s name in the top right corner of the dialog.
Your custom preset is now saved and accessible from the 'Saved' category.
Please try out this feature, so that if there are any feedback from you, we can resolve them and make this feature available to everyone.

As stated in the article linked below, Pantone’s licensing with Adobe got changed.
Due to this change, customers will need to purchase Pantone Connect licenses to access Pantone colors in Adobe Creative Cloud products.

Alas, this is the world today.
An error occurred while saving the comment L Coyle commentedYes Please!! I heard from Pantone that they are not supporting the Pantone Color Manager after 2021. Also, it is replaced by the mobile app/ extension Pantone Connect, which does not allow you to download a library - you can only add one swatch at a time. We need a library panel option - all current Pantone color swatches in Illustrator are years out of date and don't match current books. In the meantime the Color Manager is included with the purchase of a book - use it to download the .ACB file now before it's gone.

Background:
- CC libraries does not have support for Global Process Colors
- Some users have spoken about InDesign – InDesign does not support Global Process colors
- Illustrator does support process colors , global process colors and spot colors. The issue is specefic to global process colors – since it is not supported in CC Libraries. We have added the request to support in CC libraries backlog,
Workaround:
- Create Process colors in Illustrator and add it to CC libraries – deselect the global checkbox
L Coyle supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment L Coyle commentedWe need a fix! This bug becomes more confusing with Illustrator on the iPad - because when you take a library theme color and save it in you document swatches on the iPad it AUTOMATICALLY becomes global process. hmm
In fact any swatch you mix and save becomes global process on iPad Illustrator.
When you open your .aic from the iPad in Illustrator on the desktop, swatches stay global, process, yay yay!But if you save any of those colors in the library, they become spot (sigh).

Latest Beta Build 29.1.0.79 now allows to add gradient and pattern swatches into color groups. Simple as that. I am personally amazed it just works.
Please try it yourself in the latest Beta and see if it works for you as well. My congratulations, everybody. Vote more!

Live preview of color is now live in Illustrator 27.1.1, for Color Picker dialog, Color panel, Properties and Control panel, and Appearance panel.
It works in GPU mode only.

Yes! And while we're at it, please give us a way to get the art for a single repeat unit from the pattern. It takes many steps on the desktop to get a repeat tile from the fill swatch. It would be a shame to duplicate that on the iPad, leaving us without this critical function for pattern designers. The fill swatch anti-aliasing bug that reveals white lines in pattern exports is a long-standing frustration for all pattern designers. Any similar new pattern feature added to the iPad should address these issues.
