  1. Print Presets should be in RGB or be easier to change to RGB

Most newer printers (Like the HP R530 or Epson Surecolor) handle colors better from files that are in RGB, not CMYK. Would love to have some presets in the "Print" tab be in RGB. Right now it's kind of a pain to change to RGB if you start with a print preset, because you get the warning about the color mode being different from the color space.

  2. Allow to add folders for opened document tabs in the top tab bar

Hey guys! While using Adobe Illustrator, I thought it’d be super helpful if we could organize the opened document tabs in a workspace panels better — like grouping them together and renaming the groups, kind of like folders. It’d make things a lot easier when working on multiple projects and trying to keep everything separated by sections.

  3. Make hidden objects to be excluded from Text Wrap

Text wrap: invisible objects cause text wrapping.
It's all in the title. Personally, I can't figure out if this is intended. If so, is it possible to add a flag to remove the effect of hidden objects on text?

  5. Adobe fonts searching on top of the font list > easier entry

Adobe fonts browsing on top of the font list. Instead of scrolling down the (large) loaded fonts list, I would suggest searching Adobe fonts on top of the font list or a dedicated search entry.

  6. PLEASE add back in the ability to copy simple shapes that contain gradients from Illustrator to InDesign.

Copying simple shapes with simple gradients (not even complex gradient mesh) from Illustrator to InDesign has been a feature for as long as I've been using Adobe products and now, suddenly, in the 2026 versions, it's gone. Every time I try I get the error dialog attached. This is the most basic of functions and I don't understand why it's gone. I just got off the phone with Adobe Support who said "it's no longer supported". What? Why? Their solution was to save Illustrator objects as files and import/place them into InDesign, but that's not an ideal solution as those…

  7. Share for Review Feature - Multiple Updates (Clearing Cache)

I’ve been using Illustrator’s Share for Review feature and I honestly love it. It’s made collaboration with large teams so much easier it has organized comments, smooth conversations, and automatic updates when I refresh the link. It’s been a huge improvement for our big presentations and data-heavy reports.

One issue I’ve run into: after many revision rounds, some reviewers don’t see the updated file unless they hard refresh or clear their browser cache. This can be tricky for clients or senior team members who might not know how to do that.

If there’s a way to make updates appear more…

  8. Illustrator should respect path direction when creating a compound path

When creating a Compound Path from a selection, Illustrator does some things to the path directions to make it work for simple situations. But for more advanced artwork, the user should be able to set the path direction (by drawing, scripting or invoking the reverse path direction function) before applying the Make Compound Path command. This command should then not change any path direction, but apply the fill according to the path direction scheme.

We can correct path direction of compound paths in the Attributes panel, but for complex situations (e.g. hundreds of concentric circles) this feels rather stupid.

    Please…

  9. Allow to disable labels when resizing or rotating an object

When we rotate or scale an object with bounding box, Illustrator shows a label with the rotation angle or width/height changes.
While the label looks similar to the Reference Labels for Smart Guides, it’s not it (and it’s larger).
Ai doesn’t allow to hide these, and sometimes it obscures the art we work with.
    Please introduce a toggle!

  10. Double-click an Update Available icon in Links to update a link, like in InDesign

InDesign would update a modified link with a double-click into the warning icon in Links.
Illustrator forces us to select it (either on canvas or in the panel) and click the Update Link button.

  11. Text accessibility checker

It would be great if adobe design tools provided a built in checker or warning system for type that does not meet the 4:5:1 standard for contrast. Currently I have to use third party tools to verify that the colors have enough contrast. Would be great if I could do that right in that app or if a warning popped up similar to overset text.

  12. Searchbar for layers or simple filters

The same idea what we can find in PS. Possibility to show just a specific layers depends type of the filter. For example showing just a lock layers will be nice or show layers with specific fill color. If I've got a huge amount of layers in the project, event if I try to naming them I spend too much time for looking for locked layer or some specific one.

  13. Make a Display settings of artboards more visible

    Hello!
When I'm using a one of this options: Show Center Mark, Show Cross Hairs, Show Video Safe Frame during the projecting time and I want them toggle off/on I have to go to the artboard options and toggle them there. The way for toggle this is too long and I realize this just now when I need to create something and switch this kind of helpers from time to time. Rest of the grids or helpers have own shortcuts or event they are available in Properties panel, but not this one.

Is there any chance that dev-team can implement…

  14. Symbol preview display size

Even the Large List view is still too small to visualize the profile of each symbol, it works well with simple symbols but with more complex symbols it becomes impossible to see except by the name

  15. Allow to use raster images with Mockup

(Not sure exactly what category this request falls under...) The mockup tool as it is now is pretty limiting. If you have a raster image as part of what you want to mock up, the mockup tool doesn't work. I design food packaging, most of which has an image of the item in the package. Being able to mock up packages that include images would be a godsend!

(And if anyone has a workaround, please share! I use the legacy 3d tool for cylindrical objects. But for things like pouches I haven't figured a way to do it. Thanks.)

  16. Treat groups as a result of Unite and not Intersect when using as a clipping mask

If we put a group on top of some art, select them together and create a clipping mask from this top group and the art below, usually we won’t see anything, as if it does not work.

We expect Illustrator to treat the group as a result of Unite operation, but actually it is Intersected instead. This is hardly useful. and if we wanted to use an intersection of parts, we’d clip with a compound intersecting shape probably.

Please give us a way a to choose the default treatment for a group used as a clipping mask. I assume it…

  17. Allow to collapse all items in Appearance panel

The Appearance panel looks somewhat similar to Layers, but it differs in many ways, excluding several QOL methods to deal with large amount of items.

For example, one can Opt/Alt-click a bracket next to a layer or a group in Layers to collapse unfurl all the children within it.

Sure, Layers miss just a button to do it as well, and there is a request about it here at UV (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/42451084) — but Appearance just don’t have any method to collapse the items (and these do unfurl all the time — take a look at this bug report: …

  18. Appearance items below get expanded / unfurled when anything changes in the panel

Assign many fills to a path using Appearance.
Do anything with anything in the panel: change a color, assign an effect, add another fill.

Fills below the current one get unfurled.

These could be fills just below the current view of the panel, 'below the fold', as one of the attached GIFs show, or all the fills below the last unique one, as in the second GIF.

I’d test more, but the fact we can’t collapse all the items in the Appearance panel (which is possible with Opt/Alt in Layers!) makes me extremely irritated — so I made a request…

  19. Make the Illustrator Home Screen Responsive

    Problem:
Right now, the Home screen is center-justified and fixed-width. On wide monitors, this creates huge blank space between the left sidebar and the file previews. Even worse, recent projects are hidden off-screen until the app window is stretched far enough. They don’t wrap, resize, or scroll, they just vanish.

    Why this sucks:
Users with wide displays waste massive amounts of screen real estate.
Important files appear to be “missing” unless you manually widen the window.
The layout looks like an old webpage centered in a box, not professional software.

    Screenshots attached:
Welcome screen: can’t see all projects unless window…

  20. Support compressing images with WebP when exporting via Adobe PDF Presets

When exporting a PDF, there are several options to compress images: JPEG, JPEG 2000, ZIP. And we can choose the image quality, from Min to Max. To a degree, PDF file sizes can be reduced with these settings, but at a certain point the image quality is too poor for anything meaningful. WebP has incredibly high quality for a low file size, plus it supports an alpha channel.

This feature would automatically benefit Photoshop and InDesign as well, as they share these presets.
