STOP to change interface items and options possition everytime. I need to have my tools everytime in the same place, for the rest of my life, that's effective and productive. is a waste of time and energy to be looking everytime where this morning design team have put some tools and items in the interface. Please think in the proffesional peopple. Do not change possition of the items in the interface.

Unnecessary rectangles upon embedding from the Library
After embedding an object from the library, it appears a transparent outline around the object itself. This creates issues while exporting in DWG for instance, but also in the drawing modification in Illustrator, as we have to remove manually this outline object by object

Is there a possibility to activate (highlight/select) layer by clicking on the Eye icon in AI?
Is there any setup I can do in AI that when I click on the EYE icon at the Layer, the layer is getting selected by that? It is very inconvenient for me to open the eye and then the layer again to activate it...

Brush Needs Size - Inexcusable Design Flaw
It is absolutely unacceptable that the brush tool does not have a size setting.
It is straightforward to change the path size after drawing, it should be straightforward to set what path size is drawn.
This is not a feature request. This is a BASIC CORE APPLICATION FAILURE. Whoever neglected to add size should be fired and prevented from ever designing an application again.

Remove round corner minimum angle limit
Please allow for round corner angle threshold control via Preferences. The very common issue I have all the time is being unable to round corners with angles smaller than some hardcoded threshold.
Not a big issue rally on simple trivial geometry where you can workaround by manually constructing the round corner. But in my field I have to constantly deal with large complex paths needing all corners rounded regardless of angle.
I always have to resort to exporting geometry to SVG, rounding corners in Corel or Affinity which don't have the said minimal angle limit, import back to AI and…

Return Adobe Draw!!!
Hello, I have been using Adobe Draw for 4 years until January 10.2022. I am extremely disappointed with its closure and its replacement with Fresco, which is not even available for Android users.
Over 4 years of work, everything is ruined because my projects are saved as JPEG and the function to download as PNG does not work
I searched for thousands of applications, none of them is the same as Adobe Draw or at least a little closer to it. Millions of people in Bulgaria used it for various purposes and after closing it you broke everything

Make Isolate Selected Object work with text (point, area, on path)
Ai does not allow to isolate a text object.
We can workaround it by grouping it first, isolating, selecting all and ungrouping — but why execute these many useless operation instead of one?

Make Global Edit work with parts of compound shapes
When you use Direct/Group Selection tool and select a part of compound shape, that you know exist on canvas, you expect Global Edit to see them too and allow you to edit these copies simultaneously — but no, Illustrator does not recognize them.

Remove overlapping lines
Exported CAD drawings often contain many overlapping lines.
This makes such drawings difficult and cumbersome to work with, and often makes Illustrator hang.
The possibility to select an entire group of objects and, via a tool in the Object menu, remove all lines which extend parallel to and within a certain threshold distance from another line, would be great.7 votes -
Put Tool Options in a Panel
Put all Tool Options into a panel instead of a modal dialog. Stop interrupting workflow to get settings that could easily be encapsulated into a panel.
Also, quit with the 50 different ways of asking the same thing. The blob tool, warp tool, any brush tool all use different ways of getting at the same setting:
Brush Size, Brush Shape, Brush Angle, Brush Roundness, Intensity Pick the best one and stick with it in all the tool settings.

Highlight an anchor point used as a key object
Keying an anchor point is a lesser known option for aligning and distributing.
Clicking an object in a selection to key it is a thing that can be learnt by a chance (that is how I learned it myself), but using the latest selected point as a key is not a behaviour that is easily noticed.
The change of the mode is marked only via the small icon in the corner of Align panel, and nothing else on the artboard tells about it — compare this to the fat edge a key object uses.

Make Appearance work for Type objects
More specifically, with type objects, the Appearance palette just says 'Characters', without reflecting the current stroke and fill state of the object. New stroke and fill have to be added to make the Appearance palette useful.

Easier way to find object in large file with small blue bar above layers panel
Working in larger files, it's hard to find the exact object selected. What if there was a blue bar that highlighted which way to scroll? (top of the layers panel scroll up, bottom of the layers panel scroll down) to find it rather than looking for the blue box next to the object's layer? When you click on the blue bar, it takes you directly to the selected object. If multiple objects are selected, you could keep clicking the button to go to the next object down the list.

Placed psd layer comps keep their visibility regardless of color space(s)
Make layer comp visibility overrides work regardless of color space. When placing layer comps from PSD, the color spaces for both documents need to be the same in order for the layer comp visibility overrides to be sticky in AI. If one is CMYK and the other is RGB, and the layer comps are changed, the placed comps do not keep their original comp visibility overrides.

Touch workspace for desktop Wacom Cintiq
I use illustrator on desktop PC with a Wacom Cintiq 16. I am baffled as to why the touch workspace is not available. I have been informed it is only available on Surface but I use a stylus exclusively on desktop and the touch optimised workspace would be ideal. I regularly switch from desktop to iPad , I would like there to be workflow continuity.

Layers panel dimensions dynamically resize, or have tools cling to bottom of layers list
When I open a layer, the layer list is quite long so I need a tall panel. However when they're collapsed it's a much shorter list and suddenly the trashcan button is super far away from where I'm working in the layers. It would be nice if the panel automatically resized to keep the toolbar near the list, or otherwise have the toolbar cling to the bottom of the layers list so it's easily accessible when working in that panel.
