  1. Could you please allow to move the color control pop up menu, when adjusting the gradient point?

    Have the option to move the pop up menu to different location. Not right on top of the artwork you're trying to fix?

  3. SVG scalable vector export option for use in Microsoft applications

    Please include an .svg format without code or mobile device use that will hold clipping, gradients, etc. to use as scalable vector artwork to be placed in MSO applications. This was not an issue in previous versions of Illustrator.

    I provide scalable vector artwork from my projects for my clients who work in Microsoft applications by placing "Picture from File" in a PowerPoint Catalog.

    When exporting, I get an error message: "Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny" when opening them back up and the artwork is distorted.

    I got better results with "Save a copy" however, I still…

  4. Convert fractions to decimals within the program, not just the new file dialogue box: 116-7/8" to 116.875 in.

    We work with various large format sizes given with fractions, but the programs run off decimals. The New file dialogue box will convert them, so why can't this be added to the number fields for artboard and object sizes? Similar to how we can use the "/" to divide by a number when working at 1/4 scale or 1/2 scale.

  5. Double tap keyboard shortcut key to open dialogue box.

    This should speed up workflow for advanced users and help students learn tools & access dialogue windows faster.

    For example: ‘W’ brings up the blend tool.
    ‘W+W’ brings up the blend options dialogue

                ‘R’ brings up the rotate tool.
            ‘R+R’ brings up the rotate dialogue.

    I understand you can double click the blend toolbar icon to bring up the dialogue, or go to properties to adjust rotation. Why not double tap to stream line the entire process.

    As a lecturer it would help students immensely. Learners usually look for (hover over) the icon and click, then navigate the menu to…

  6. Ability to warp more precisely

    I work in the label industry and we have to warp artwork for tapered containers.
    We find that we need to be between whole numbers of a percent.
    Is it possible to have the ability to warp 1.3% without it just rounding down or up to the nearest whole number?

  7. Highlight last used field

    Best feature in Indesign is to jump back to last used field using a keyboard shortcut. I think this should definitely be part of every application, including Adobe Illustrator. That is, similar to Indesign:

    Activate last-used field in panel --- Default: Opt+Cmd+`

    This should be a great addition to all the Adobe Applications.

  8. Square ZIG-ZAG effect

    I'm surprised that a zig-zag feature is missing a "square" effect (see photo). It seems pretty basic thing since you have other types of vawy lines. Shouldn't be that much harder to implement compared to other effects.

  9. Add option to change stroke/font units faster

    For my workflow I constantly need to change the unit of strokes between points and inches. It would be nice to add a way to change them in 1 click rather than going Edit > Preferences > Units every single time. Not a huge change but would be quite convenient and probably fairly easy to implement. We can currently set the unit of the whole document in a window, but not things like stroke/font. Could just add the option to the existing stroke window like the attached picture.

  10. .obj asset file multiple group/layer hierarchy

    It’s very cool that you can export 3d models as obj - when I try to import the obj file Into blender, the group objects become scattered and lose there positioning that I have created - please make it so that when I import the file all of the objects are together / grouped as I intended and not scattered - great job on the new update 👍🏻

  11. For the love please make it an option to group layers like in Photoshop. Sublayers just get super confusing.

    Just like you do in Photoshop, please make it an option to make a folder to group your layers. You can keep sublayers, it's just my layers are constantly getting mixed up because of sublayers and it's just not easy to use.

  12. show swatch folders in recolor artwork panel

    In the recolor artwork panel when you double click the color on the right to determine what the color is being changed to, you can choose from swatches by then clicking on swatches. But, it's just a list of all of the swatches with no indication of which swatch folder the swatches are in. This makes recoloring difficult at times

  13. Pen tool - just double click last point to stop drawing (and leave path open)

    It used to be (many versions ago) that if I was drawing with the pen tool, all I had to do is double click my last point, and it would end that graphic, leaving it open, and leaving the tool ready to draw another line. Now the only way to stop seems to be to hit return (which is awkward since I am right handed), go hit another tool, or use a keystroke. All of these take more time and break my train of thought.

  14. Bullets & Numbering in Shortcuts

    The menu items for bullets and numbering are not in "Edit shortcuts" At least not in the German version of Illustrator.

    Could they perhaps be made available for shortcuts?

  15. Fast way to make multiple text boxes

    I like to break up words and phrases in to multiple text boxes so I can move them freely. It would be nice to have a fast way while typing out the phrase to break it in to more than one text box. Like a “command + enter” type thing that instead of going to a new line it goes to a new text box.

  17. Unnecessary rectangles upon embedding from the Library

    After embedding an object from the library, it appears a transparent outline around the object itself. This creates issues while exporting in DWG for instance, but also in the drawing modification in Illustrator, as we have to remove manually this outline object by object

  19. Stroke width profiles stored with files, not with app

    Currently, variable stroke width profiles are stored within the app, not within the file. So when I want to work on a cloud file on another computer, I have to manually add profiles to the saved profiles dropdown again from existing strokes, because they are no longer available.

    And while you're at it, add sorting, exporting and importing options to the variable width panel, it is seriously frustrating having to go through all of them every time - if you commonly use this feature, the list can get quite long.

  20. Please make live paint more convenient!

    To fill in my drawing outlines or an object, I have to select the section of outlines or shapes first, which is dumb, because in selecting the outlines or shapes, the color fill automatically changes to the color whatever is selected (the color of the stroke or shape's outline, that I want to fill in with a different color. This is made even more frustrating when I have to use the eyedropper to select a fill color, only for my color section to immediately change, upon reselecting the shape outlines I intended to fill in.

    It is also a pain…
