  2. Make Global Edit work with parts of compound shapes

    When you use Direct/Group Selection tool and select a part of compound shape, that you know exist on canvas, you expect Global Edit to see them too and allow you to edit these copies simultaneously — but no, Illustrator does not recognize them.
    Please finish Global Edit, it is not complete.

  4. XMP Meta Data、MM:Historyの機能改善

    現在、IllustratorではXMPメタデータ上のHistoryの記述が最大で２個となっていて、初回保存時に１つ目、別名で保存時に２つ目が記述され、以降、別名で保存によるファイル派生が生じた時に２つ目のHistoryが更新される仕様になっています。
    Photoshopでは、このHistoryの項目に保存履歴だけではなくconvertやderived等の主要な編集イベントの情報も記述されます。InDesignにおいても保存イベントは詳細に記述され履歴の確認が可能になっています。
    Illustratorにおいても、もう少し細かく履歴情報の記述を行っていただきたい。

  5. STRUMENTO CONTAGOCCE E TESTI DI COLORE DIVERSO NELLO STESSO BOX

    Ho un box di testo con alcuni caratteri rossi ed alcuni caratteri neri.
    Voglio copiare tutte le specifiche di testo (font, ecc.) da un altro blocco di testo con lo strumento contagocce senza modificare i colori del box di destinazione.
    Vedo che dallo strumento contagocce ci sarebbe la possibilità di escludere/includere il rilevamento del colore, ma quando si applica al box di destinazione tutto il testo contenuto diventa di un unico colore....

  8. A way to remove objects located outside of one or more artboards

    While working in a file with many artboards and while exporting each artboard to a separate EPS, AI carries over all graphics from the original file even if the graphics from each EPS file is resumed to it's artboard.

  9. Smart guide show projected extension of another line when hovering

    This is a basic feature in CAD programs. When you are using the pen or line tools, you need to be able to hover over the end point of a line, and then snap the cursor to that line's hypothetical extension, so you can start a new line on that extension, so that each point you make can be co-linear with another.

    I can't say how many times (probably in the tens of thousands) in my career when I have had to drag out a construction line extension just so i can start…

  10. More Text Frame & Type options like: Inset Spacing, Auto Fit, Columns and Bullet & Num Lists

    I highly appraise adding the much needed Vertical Text Alignment feature from indesign to Illustrator. While they are at it I would like to request more Text Frame & Type features to be migrated over from Indesign. Like Inset Spacing, Auto Fit, Columns and Bullet & Numbered Lists .

    Why? Due to Illustrator having more flexible and abundant creativity oriented vector design features I often pick Illustrator over Indesign to create single page designs like flyers or posters. Having more control over type would speed up the design workflow significantly. Lack of Type control is the only thing that causes…

  11. Adobe Illustrator UXP integration timeline

    For extension developers currently working with the CEP / HTML Panels, there is a concern and anticipation for an expected time frame for the Unified Extensions Platform (UXP) to make its debut among the remainder of the creative cloud applications such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

    It would be beneficial for many, those looking to develop new extensions, and those looking to port existing extensions to the UXP platform, if an official timeline was to be made publicly available regarding Adobes future plans / roadmap for the unified extensibility platform in relation to Creative Cloud applications other than Adobe XD.

  12. Export Artboards as PowerPoint or Keynote slides

    I like using Illustrator to design complexe slides or icons, illustrations… for my slides and I’d like to export them by maintaining vector capabilities to have the ability in PowerPoint or Keynote to change their color and to scale them freely.

    I know plug-ins or some export format will somehow works for some cases.
    But it will be so nice to have a straight forward export!

  13. Export BMP on various artboards

    When will it be possible to export more than one image of the same artwork on different artboards in the .bmp?
    The 'Use artboards' option is disabled for this format.

  14. Keep Linked Image File Name when it gets Embedded

    Keep File Name on Embedded Images. So many times the file name disappears after the image is embedded and the file is saved. If you have multiple versions of an image it would be helpful to have the file name.

  15. Exclude / inverted mode for clipping mask, to view what’s outside of the clipping path instead of inside

    It would be interesting to be able to use the clipping mask to also exclude a path from a shape. This would avoid using the pathfinder (exclusion) to keep the shapes to take back them.

  16. Ability to duplicate artboards with Cmd+D

    It would be nice if once you alt+drag an artboard in order to make a copy, you can keep duplicating the artboard with the same displacement, just pressing Cmd+D.

    As it happens when you do it with a form or an image.

  18. Allow Batch Actions to work on all open files

    Batch Actions can work on a folder of files but not all open files. Photoshop can do this, why not Illustrator?

  19. Merge swatches with right-click

    In InDesign you can right-click in the swatches panel and select 'Merge Swatches' (among many other things).

    In Illustrator there is no right-click menu at all, you have to click the fly-out.

    Adding the right-click menu (or even the ability add a keyboard shortcut to things in the fly-out) would be helpful as we get a lot of files with duplicate colors or need to convert odd mixes/incorrect names to true Pantones so our rips will recognize them. We do a lot of merging.

  20. Toolbar saving and reset. Workspace including keyboard shortcuts.

    Nice that you can make your own toolbar. But why didn't you make it like in Photoshop? You can save it to a file, so it would be possible to reset if I make a mistake: then I just reload it. The interface of Photoshop is easier to understand. And when you're working on this: why can't I just reset the toolbar to what has been saved previously?

    Also about the interface: nice that I can make my own keyboard shortcuts, but I would like to save that in my workspace, along with my tools and my panels.
