When exporting .svg from .ai file text kerning is not correct.

"autoflow" feature in Illustrator
To place a docx or a txt file with an "autoflow" feature, like in Indesign. All pages should open all needed artboards.

Improve the preview quality when placing a file
When importing a file to place it, the quality can be quite disastrous and it can be difficult to know if the version being imported is the right one, if the only difference is in the details.
Alternatively, a larger window with a zoom effect upon hover would make this feature exceptional.
I love pixel art but this feels ancient and in dire need of an upgrade.

Previous versions of illustrator showed the id of individual elements within layers in the layers window
Previous versions of Illustrator would show the id of individual elements within layers in the layers window. Now they just show as "path" or "compound path." I generate maps as svg files from a database with a program of my own design and then import them into Illustrator for final editing. Sometimes there is a problem with one or more elements. Before I could go to Illustrator, select the problem element, and see in the layers window what its id was. Then I could go to my database and fix the problem. I can't do this anymore. Apply For Digital Cutter To Connect With AI Format Cutting File Directly

I'm David Jia from Sinajet Tech. We are a digital cutter manufacturer for sign industry.
More our customers have AI format cutting file, now they need to transfer AI to DXF, and send DXF file to our digital cutter for cutting process.
We hope our cutter can connect with AI format cutting file directly. Once I get AI format I/O or a DLL, then our digital cutter can work with AI format cutting file directly. It will be more convenient for customers.

Add Color Mode "Bitmap" to TIFF Options in File > Export > Export As
I regularly export high resolution (1440 ppi) black and white TIFF images from Illustrator. Right now they must be exported as grayscale and then I have to open them in Photoshop and convert them to 1 bit images and resave.

Choose .pdf magnification seeting in Illustrator not Acrobat
When saving .ai file as .pdf the added option to choose the .pdf magnification at the save as pdf settings stage, instead of having to do this in Acrobat properties.

9-point magnetic object-to-grid (or-grid to-object) without smart guides
Could you consider a feature used in Esko Graphics (Artpro) for the placement of objects (9-point grid) to a crosshair or placing a crosshair to an object. This would expand current align and artboard functions into one clean and user friendly feature. Would also improve functions such as Mirror, Scale, Paste in place, copying to correct location across various files even if rulers are not set the same. Illustrator 2020 performance significantly slow/sluggish -
Sorry, can't recommend upgrade of 2020 to my colleagues. I work for a large Engineering firm and we have powerful computers. We have critical deadlines for Q4-2019 - Upgrading to 2020 will be a big mistake as it will cause delay to our projects and stress to the members .

Asset Export - Make Collection of File Settings
When using the Asset Export feature – it would be nice to have collections of different formats and sizing. For a number of projects there are repeatable file formats that are needed.
Allow the user to define these collections (not unlike creating and setting workspaces).
One might need a collection that has only SVG and PDF, another collection could only be PNG (1x, 2x and 4x). And yet another might need SVG, JPG and PNG, there are so many different ways to work and exports that people need.

Staggering Saves
I would like to be able to run multiple saves on a file without waiting for the first save to finish. For example while it is saving the .ai file I would like to also save a PDF immediately after. The software in the background wouldn't halt me interrupting my workflow but instead hold the second save in the background and run it once the first save finished. Prior to CC this was something I did a lot and competitors software as well as your own media encoder for Video apps have this function.

Export for Screen Preset system is a FIASCO

Saving PDF without modifying embedded images
Universities use LaTex PDF in researches for a good reason. The PDF produced by a LaTex app won't resample or blow-up the embedded images (JPEG). As a researcher, it will save us a lot of time if illustrator PDF setting has the option to not resample or alter the embedded images. A JPEG image (1920 x 1920 pixels) of a size 200 KB will make illustrator PDF file of about 10 MB. Whereas the PDF file produced by a LaTex app will be slightly bigger than 200 KB. I hope Adobe engineers will consider this issue.

Please Warn when saving working file to PDF without AI edibility
I was working on a file for half the day - making layers, groups and text styles. I had it all the way I wanted it, ready to add some translated text tomorrow. I saved and closed, not realizing that the original file I opened was a PDF that had be saved without Illustrator editing.
The result was that everything was collected into one layer with nested clipping paths, and all my carefully formatted text was broken apart. (a few random lines were even converted to outlines)

CC Libraries on Illustrator Paste in Place in artboard
Could we get an option to save an artboard together with the group of items selected when we save to Libraries?
I mean instead of modifying the artboard size to fit all elements, libraries would save the size of the original artboard and all the items in it, including the items that bleed outside (as bleed marks).
2 - Would also be super useful to get an option to "paste in place" when pasting an item from the library into an artboard if the target artboard is the same size as the original artboard.

Clear guides should delete guides in transparency masks too
Just took me ages to work out why i couldnt remove guides from a file and discovered they existed only within various transparency masks and had to go through each mask individually to remove them. Clear guides feature should remove those too, surely?!

Edit Library graphic in place
Graphics you add to your library can only be edited in a separate file window. I would like to be able to edit the library graphic in place.
This would save time when editing graphics to make them more universally useful for me.

Perspective Tool and Strokes.
I've recently gotten into the Perspective Tool in a big way. My only problem is that STROKES' don't conform to Perspective. I've worked around this by converting the stroke into a fill using OBJECT > PATH > OUTLINE STROKE. It gets the job done, but I lose all that "strokey" goodness. Can a button be added somewhere to "Allow Strokes To Be Effected By Perspective?"

SVG Import Notification and/or debug log
Short back story: My company is an online supplier of custom printed products. Customers design their order on our website which we translate into an SVG file. Our production team imports that SVG file into AI for final processing of the customers order.
When importing SVG files to AI sometimes entire parts of the design are not imported without any notification or log of the event.

Overwriting Existing Workspaces and Toolbars
If I wanted to update my custom Workspace, I can create a new Workspace and give it the same name as before. When I do that, I am warned that the name already exists, and that clicking 'OK' will overwrite the old one. This is great. But if I try the same process for updating a custom Toolbar, it makes me choose another name. Then I have to remember where these files are stored in the Finder, go to that location, delete the old Toolbar, and rename the new one. Please make the process for updating an existing Toolbar as…
