Live Free Distort
I would like to see the "Free Distort" effect be extended to work on the actual object, not going through a tiny dialog box that feels like I'm trying to apply it to a postage stamp. It's really difficult to apply a distorted shape to a larger area when I am guessing if a 1-pixel move of a tiny handle is going to make a difference or not. Generate Proper Filenames and Layer Names Instead of Untitled-1 and Layer-1
We need Generate Name button for saving a file depending on its content, format and target project folder. Also layers could be named properly.
Also it seems obvious that, besides generating a new name, the system could also use information from the document's presets, such as the document type (e.g., web, phone, book, etc.), document size (e.g., A4, 291x210mm, 1920x1080px, etc.), and colour and bit depth (e.g., CMYK, RGB, LAB, 8-bit, 16-bit, etc.).

Allow the bullet behavior to be turned ON or OFF
I would very much like to have the option to turn the Bullet behavior ON or OFF. - Part of why I use Illustrator as much as I do is that I like to have complete control of my design. I use InDesign in a very limited, specific way, even with book layout, i.e. TOC & pagination. - For example, I'm trying to make headers for a short PDF and I can't add numbers before my headers without loosing control of the styling. Can't recover my work when i accidentally clicked Revert
I was working in Illustrator and accidentally click on Revert and now my works are gone, it would be better if there is a undo button for that.

Make Check Spelling work in Finnish
I have searched for answers in community and tried all the suggestions.
At least English, Spanish and Swedish spell checking is working.I have changed the language to Finnish in preferences hyphenation settings, character styles, paragraph styles and in the written text box. Spell check finds no words and automated check also does nothing.

Set save SVG embed images by default
Problem: I have hundreds of .AI files I have to convert to .svg with "Embed" image. It always defaults to "link". How do I make "embed" default? Suggestions most welcome, Thanks in advance!

Mark starting points and directions for paths
We know nothing about where a closed path starts and which direction it has.
We can cheat it and apply an arrowhead or a brush to see that, but perhaps you just should mark the first points of paths with something else than a square? Like a triangle?

Add an option for Pathfinder to make compound paths instead of groups
If you draw a row of rectangles (with gaps) and hit Unite button in Pathfinder — Ai will create a group.
But if you hold Alt, then hit Unite, and then hit Expand in this panel — Ai will make create a compound path!
I almost always want a compound path.
And I hate this workaround, since it requires twice as much operations (yeah, 2 instead of 1!). Another workaround is an action to ungroup and make a compound path — which is still a 2 steps operation!The alternative is to have a panel full of actions for each…

Offline Tutorials
Tutorials in the new version only work on-line. In older version we could use tutorials off-line as well.
In prison classroom, student (inmate) computers do not have on-line access all the time so they cannot use tutorials. Starting with a tutorial is very helpful to break the ice and give them an overview of the program.
Make tutorials accessible both in Photoshop and illustrator in off-line mode.
We pay the subscription price so we should be able to use the tutorials as well.

Ability to use CC Library colors directly within Recolor Artwork dialog (without having to create swatches first).
When recoloring a large batch of individual vector files, it's cumbersome to have to add swatches from CC Library for every single file in order to use those swatches in the recolor artwork dialog. It would be great to use the colors stored in CC Library directly in the recolor artwork dialog.

Illustrator Waterfall Charts - support positive & negative values
Currently, when trying to create a waterfall chart in Illustrator, you can't have values go above & below the zero axis. If you try to enter positive and negative values in one line of the data table, you get an error (Can't create the graph. Each stacked column must contain all positive or negative data.).
This is needed by lots of Artworkers, especially in Annual Reports, etc.

Scale stroke width of multiple points
I'd like to be able to scale the stroke width of multiple points at the same time, that way they match. That, or copy the stroke width value of one point and be able to paste it onto another.

Make Smooth command to have the persist/sticky option
I like the new Smooth command and I'm using it frequently enough that it would be nice to have a persist/sticky option for it instead of repeatedly going back to the Object menu.
Also, I find that smoothing of 20% works well for a lot of shapes I'm editing but could the bar be enhanced with a few click-to bars to speed up this process (see attached). Maybe include this for the Simplify command as well.
