  1. paths missing in export

    When exporting a vector image, some of the paths in my pattern fill are disappearing. It's weird because on the export panel it shows up fine, but when actually exported the paths are missing.

  2. long file names

    If the file name is too long for Windows 10, no error message is generated but the file is not saved.

    Interestingly, the thumbnail on the Home page for AI shows the final version of the artwork, but clicking on it opens the last one actually saved instead. I didn't know what had happened and closed/reopened AI to get AI to open the correct file, then saw the file did not actually exist.

    I was able to recover my work because the last 3 tmp files were not removed, so I renamed the extensions to "ai" and got my work…

  3. Illustrator 25.1 (64 bits) doesn't open some files on previous versions

    When I try to open some files created a year ago, Illustrator show me an error window which explains that the program have tried to recover the file but partially. When I click open, only an artboard appears and nothing else.

    After that, I close the project and a pop up window ask to rate the recovery functionality. For now it is dreadful. Hope You can fix it soon

  4. Opening a v25 .ai file with illustrator v25.1 causing text issues

    I received an illustrator file from a client that was v25. I already had all the necessary fonts used in the project. I opened it with the latest version (25.1) and the text on almost every artboard was altered in some way. Often all the text in a text box was gone except for a few characters. After downloading AI 2020 I was able to open the project file with the text in tact.

  5. When exporting as PDF with password (to edit/copy), insertion point doesn't move to password entry field

    [macOS Big Sur 11.1, Illustrator 25.1]

    When saving as a protected PDF (require a password to edit/copy), as soon as you click the checkbox to enable that, the text insertion point always used to jump immediately to the field to enter the password. Now, nothing happens. You have to click the box. There are no other options in that area of the Save as window; you click the box to enable a password, and the only other option is to then enter that password.   6. Preview Icon not Showing on MacOS

    macOS Big Sur 11.1
    Illustrator (2021) - 25.1

    Steps and Expectations
    1) Save work as most recent version of native AI file with PDF Compatibility On.
    2) Expected file would have a preview icon of artwork found on desktop.
    Icon Preview is on (always) for all folders and root users.
    3) File saved with standard Ai icon, and no icon preview.

  7. File is corrupted

    I saved 2 different ai files and exported them as pdf or jpg and then opened them the next day to make edits and it deleted all the artboards but one on both. These were big files but they said they were saved before I closed it. Please help!

  8. BIG SUR M1 saving as PDF Illustrator 2020 cc.

    I want to save document and image as pdf as normal.
    goes through usual dialogs but saves as a white document / image pdf.

  9. File New greyed out

    When i open AI and go to file new the option to create was greyed out, if i choose another option like print, mobile etc i can still create a new doc, now that i opened a doc again i can see them in Recent. but when i go to Saved its still all greyed out. i tried deleting the preferences and reinstalling AI (latest version) but its still there.

  10. Error The session key is invalid or outdated

    I get this error when saving a file in Illustrator CC 2017 (21/1/0).

    Mac OS 10.12.6

    Click on OK and it goes away.

  11. Unable to save in same folder or same name

    Unable to just save in the same folder y pressing ctrl + s. I have to save in a different folder or save with a different name. Unbearable.

  12. Faillure when opening a Autocad Drawing wiht Text atrtributes

    When openinig a Autocad drawing whit textattributes it seems that this procudure also creates en second empty attribute layer whitch is not selectable
    but it still influencis de allign command in a not yet understandeble way

  13. Asset export scale not working correctly (1x, 2x, 3x etc.... no longer keep files at 72 ppi)

    There is an issue with the asset export options in Adobe illustrator. When exporting with the png scale options .5x, .75x, 1x ,2x, 3x, etc... the file's ppi is also changing rather than staying at 72ppi. For Example when exporting a 100x100 square @1x, 2x, & 3x the expected behavior would be to get 3 pngs (@1x - 100x100px @72ppi), (@2x - 200x200px @72ppi), and (@3x - 300x300px @72ppi) (I'm pretty sure the asset export used to work this way); However what is happening now is you get 3 pngs (@1x - 100x100px @72ppi), (@2x - 200x200px @144ppi), and (@3x…

  14. Text alignment of text on path changes in SVG on export, but not in other file types

    Adobe Illustrator 25.0.1 on macOS Big Sur 11.1, MacBook Pro 2016

    I've exported the same graph multiple times - as jpeg, png and svg. In the svg version, some text looses it's alignment - can't send that to my client!

  16. Saving issues

    I could not save my illustrations as any AI or PDF.
    After selecting save as PDF/AI it allows to save but there is no document saved in my targeted folder. Please help, i can only save it as JPEG

  17. iCloud drive

    Illustrator thinks links are gone when files are being stored in iCloud Drive (even though the cloud version is still in the same folder on my computer). Please allow Illustrator to download linked files in iCloud Drive automatically so I don't have to download and relink manually.

  18. Save as remove filename text before "/" character

    If the filename contains "/", the illustrator will save the file with "save as" command removing all the characters before "/", including it.
    Example:
    Saving with "save as" the file "My first project/version 1.ai" will end in "version 1.ai" on harddisk.

    Also, the name of the file in document's title bar is replacing the "/" with ":"
    "My first project:version 1.ai"

    And, again, on Save as dialog box, the "Save as:" textbox where the filename is already entered, it shows up like this
    "My first project-version 1.ai"

  19. Please fix the .ai file saving in the latest version of Adobe Illustator

    Here is a screen capture of the Creo file it is saving as even though .ai format has been selected:

  20. ACTION FAILURE!!

    modify the action:
    If you create an action to save for web with PNG file, Illustrator don't override the save command and nche the action take the same name of the file in the action.

    try to open 5 or 6 files and create the action:
    New action > save for web > save (and stop action)
    Now use it on the other opened files...

    If you have more and more files like me and your client ask you to export the file only in png it's impossible to use this action!

    The only way is to save files one…
