illustrator does not show my printer automatically
I have been using illustrator more than 3 years. After the last update, Illustrator does not show me the default printer in the computer when I command "print". I tries to save the file as PostScript file. I completely deleted the illustrator and all the adobe files and re-installed them back, but it didn't get fixed. I have several illustrator in several computers, and only one of them has this problem. Is there any solution for that?

Printer Preference Issue
My printer preference screen: the very first tab is very small, possibly in half an inch font size. Some tabs are fine, but some of the options are cut in size. For instance in original size the drop down gives you a list of paper sizes well I can only see half of 8 1/2 x 11. So basically, the font size of the drop down options are about 1/2 inch in size. I have all the Adobe products, but it's only happening in the Illustrator. Sorry, hard to explain.

Cannot print A3 at 100%
From my Mac running 10.15.4, A3 will not print correctly to my Epson WF 7720. No scaling is applied - it's at 100% both in the driver dialog and Illustrator itself - but the prints are coming out at 97.2% of what they should be.
8.5 x 11 prints work fine, and the same document prints correctly at A3 from within Inkscape.

Part of text disappears when printing upside-down
I am printing a piece of art with text. When rotating the document upside down in the print dialogue window, the printed version lacks letters. It looks like only the first letter gets printed. This is not a printer issue either, tested printing from PDF and it worked fine.
See attached for the example. The right half is how it should be, left half is what comes out - small "B" is missing.1 vote -
CD Printing problem (media selection)
Illustrator 24.0 doesn't set media type properly. On Epson L805 printer selecting CD/DVD media prints on A4 plain paper instead. This bug appears recently. Other apps, like Affinity Designer prints from the same .ai file without any problems on choosed CD/DVD.
BTW: Great idea how not to offer support: let's ask users to vote if bug should be fixed or not...

network printer HP 8730 Pro
With the newest version of Illustrator (is it 24) there comes a lot of trouble for users with HP printer - maybe all printer which are connecting over the local network. The issue is that Illustrator can´t open any ai file nore make a new files while the default printer is a network printer. Here it is the HP 8730 Pro. With the help of the support desk there is a workaround to fix this issue. You have to set your default printer to Adobe pdf. But this is not a real solution, it´s only a temporarely workaround. So hopefully…

Wrong encoding of separation names when exporting to PDF/X-4 (should be UTF-8)
When exporting to PDF/X-4 from Illustrator, the separation names are not encoded in UTF-8 (which is requested by the PDF/X-4 standard) but using the OS encoding (MacRoman on Mac - ISO-8859-1 on Windows).
This makes the PDF/X-4 preflight to fail.

Rendering intent selection not applied
The selection of rendering intent in the print dialog box is not applied. When printing only the selected rendering intent of color settings applies. I.E the drop-down for selecting rendering intent when printing seem to not be hooked up to any active code at all. This has been an error since at least 2011.

Ilustrator Crashes when printing to laser cutter.
Hello,
I typically use illustrator to print to our Epilog Mini Helix 24" Laser Cutter/Engraver. When printing, you go into setup, select the laser, then go into it's preferences to configure laser-specific settings. When you hit "Print" it sends the files to software provided by Epilog: Job Manager. This is an annoyingly repeatable problem, as I am not able to laser cut anything from Illustrator. It crashes every time.
However, in the past couple days this has suddenly stopped working. No matter what file I try to send to the job manager, the whole program crashes when I hit "Print."…

Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 and Roland Cutstudio Plug-In Issue
Hi all,
I'm having great difficulties with Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 and using the Roland Cutstudio Plug-In on both Windows 7 64-bit and Mac OS Sierra 10.13.2.
I have tried to install it both with the Adobe Creative Cloud HTML and also with Anistasy's Extension Manager. While the extension does appear, when I click on Print to Output I receive this message:
Cutstudio is not found. If cutstudio is not installed, please install it. If cutstudio has never run, please run it. Then restart Adobe Illustrator.
This error message only appears on the Windows 7 PC, I can confirm drivers…
1 votePlease contact Cutstudio support and check for compatibility with Illustrator version. Additionally, CC 2017 was not supported on 10.13 and we have fixed lot of compatibility issues with CC 2018
