Ctrl key moves canvas in Illustrator rendering Ctrl-Z unusable
Everytime I press the Ctrl key in Illustrator is moves the canvas right, making me unable to use ctrl-z or any other ctrl command because it defaults to moving the canvas, I'm pretty sure I have the latest version of Illustrator and the problem just started happening when I opened a psd file in it today. Didn't have this issue while using illustrator a few days ago.

Slow response time
I have been using a my 2014 Macbook Pro with no problems using Adobe Illustrator. However I recently switched over to a PC i7-6850K CPU and two EVGA 1080 GFX cards. And I find that when I use AI after about 1 hour it starts to seriously lag... getting worse as time goes on. The only way I have been able to temporarily resolve this is to close AI entirely and then re-open the program.

Copying hires 1-bit tiff takes to much time
I have a document where I copy a hires 1-bit tiff.
Then Illustrator just beachballs.
This happens in the latest version of Illustrator CC 2017.

Illustrator CC - Lags constantly every attempt to do something in my layers
I have been using Illustrator since macOS Sierra and it was decent in regards to performance not perfect though. Now since MacOS High Sierra Illustrator just destroys my workflow, I waste so much time waiting for the pin wheel to go away just so that when I attempt to move the cursor to interact with a layer is comes right back and i'm waiting again. . . and then at time it will crash (this is good I make backups)
I would find it hard to believe that a relatively new MacBook Pro should have no problems handling an 600mb…

Black shapes when trying to group things
When I try to group text objects and lines, the screen gets black shapes that come up. It happens every time, and even if I close the file and reopen it, it continues to happen.

Keyboard dosent register shortcut
In Adobe InDesign and Photoshop you can assign any key on international keyboards to any function.
Illustrator do not recognise interntional keyboards. You may register but it wont work.
What a shame since it's the oldest app in the family.2 votes -
Not enough memory
Have issues with CC 2017 (latest version) not being able to action things as not enough memory. Seems to be that 2GB limit that Ai imposes as my system has 64GB installed with at least 40GB free to use. The programme is also incredibly slow with anything complex. I reinstalled CS6 version, and that works faultlessly and fast with the same files, with no hesitation at all! It's at least 20x times faster than current Ai. Document recovery is now built inside Illustrator to recover incomplete/corrupt documents. Illustrator first tries to fix and open the native Illustrator document, if that fails then the PDF part of the document is recovered if it is available. Illustrator shows message to the user if any of the above attempts fails to recover the document.

Illustrator shows spinning circle - tried everything
I can use the mouse, but the cursor has a spinning wheel even outside Illustrator, and the menus don't work. I've been through checklists about install/reinstall, remove user preference folder, in Illustrator as in other products, I've tried moving all the fonts I could from the fonts folder. I've rebooted multiple times. I've tried reinstalling Illustrator. After doing all this, I get error messages such as "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error (SExi)", "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error (CANT)". Bugged redraw/tearing when drawing a shape causes window to scroll.
- Illustrator CC2017.1.0
- Click and drag with a shape tool (e.g. rectangle) and while dragging move to the edge of the window so it causes it to scroll.
- The window should redraw the newly visible parts of the document as the window scrolls them into view.
- Depending on whether GPU acceleration is enabled or not you get nothing or you get the edge pixels repeated endlessly during the scroll until you release the mouse.

Decimal point massive problems (AI CC 2017.1.0 macOS 10.12.6)

this problem has been discussed ad nauseam on the forum, but it still persists: AI 2017.1.0 on macOS 10.12.6 still has massive problems with handling of the decimal comma vs. point. On my system (macOS 10.12.6), all dialog boxes within Illustrator display numbers with decimal commas, but any operation (such as moving an item with cursor keys or using the cursor Up or Down keys within text boxes) makes the values multiply by 100 and then "explode".

Zoom lagging & Overal Speed Issues
BUG. Files with any substance (not just plain squares) but normal large files are slow and laggy.
