FILE Corruption - Illustrator will not open AI files. Adobe CC/Windows 10.
just trying to open AI files to work in ILLUSTRATOR. POS won't open. After reboot, won't open. How was the subscription model supposed to be better?

Please get in touch with us at sharewithai@adobe.com or any of the other support channels.
Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

I have had it! I also cannot get past the AI opening page. I can't work. I can't finish a project that has a rapidly approaching deadline. I can't rationalize continuing to pay a subscription fee for something that DOESN'T WORK!!

Open acrobat sae as eps (multiple artboards if needed). Open in illustrator. I found out that the artboards were all square and none is what the original intended document was.

I work with documents with multiple arboards. Now I have the luck of exporting a pdf and I can reopen and save each artboard to a new document. Hopefully it works.

Same happens with me. I am currently following the contentRecovery https://helpx.adobe.com/nl/illustrator/kb/enable-content-recovery-mode-illustrator.html
did all the stuff. Search for the binary starting string
/ASCII85Decode
till
% ; (AI12 Job Options Data),
and again till
% ; (AI12 Document Profile Data) ,
and remove it. Reopen, save as new and close.
it does not work Adobe! I checked all binary ASCII conversions.
