Illustrator doesn't find color profile, which are shown in Indesign
Hi everybody,
I installed an eci color profile (pso-coated_v3) on my windows 10 computer (right-mouse-click, then install). In Photoshop CC and Indesign CC everything is fine, so it is installed correctly. But the new profile isn't shown in Illustrator CC.
I reopened Illustrator and also de- and reinstalled it...
Does anybody has got an idea, why the new profile doesn't show in in the color-settings of Illustrator?
Thanks a lot!
Best wishes
Rene
An installed color profile can be accessed and used like this:
Edit > Color Settings: Working Spaces, CMYK: choose the profile you need.
Then go to Edit > Assign Profile and set it.

Wow - this is really a weird and hidden way to access the installed profile.
Finally it worked, thanks for the post! -

Rene, I wish I could 'like' your comment from September. How odd connecting those two things.
I have never seen a drop down list add additional selections by selecting a button entirely separated from the drop down list. ...so strange, as if to make a difficult process even more uniquely difficult.

Yes it worked! You need to to go to: EDIT>>>>Color Settings>>>
Now go to "Working Spaces" and click on the "CMYK" and choose the Profile. Now go to >>>>EDIT>>>Assign Profile.....and choose the Profile inside the drop menu.

That help, thank you! Although it is a little bit strange, because as a user you don't see a connection to that :-)

Hi Rene,
All profiles are shown on selecting "More Options" button in the lower left corner of Edit > Color Settings dialog.
