CC2018 Illustrator Multiply with CMYK colors and Windows 10 Fall Creators update (solid color)
The latest Windows 10 update (Fall Creators) bugs out the Illustrators Multiply option when in CMYK setting. The Multiply option becomes a solid color instead of transparant and reacting with bottom color. When converting to RGB it works as intended and photoshop for example shows correct multiply in CMYK.
current solution: revert back to older version of windows 10.
ideal would be: adobe fixing issue
Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

FIX! : Go view > Preview on CPU
If viewing on GPU it shows as black
A possibility is that the graphics card driver is not up to date with the latest version of Windows 10, so when previewing on the GPU it shows solid black, but is ok when previewing on the CPU. Going to try to update graphics drivers etc now. -

Why also do the comments and votes for this keep disappearing? Don't remove them please modorators this is an actual illustrator issue

Agreed this seems to have happened to all our WINDOWS machines in office since the latest windows 10 update.
We created a file early december, in CMYK mode, when we open it now (both .ai and .pdf) all the multiply shapes are now solid black (at only 15% opacity) instead of darkening the colour behind as per when the doc was created. The illustrator compatible PDF opens in adobe reader showing the multiply layers correctly, but is solid black on opening in illustrator. Also, it opens fine on a MAC!
Please fix this ADOBE! -

So glad other people are having the same issue as me. The new windows update has lost me hours in frustration and redoing work. Please can adobe and windows talk to each other and get this sorted!

Yes, we've been noticing this. It is incredibly annoying, and wasting lots of time. Would also like a discount for all the days I'm paying and it's not working.

Very annoying! Not much of a solution reverting back to a previous version of windows. Hope this gets fixed soon!

This happens to me too... saving out from Mac and opening again on PC doesn't fix the issue.
