Unable to move anything once placed within Adobe Illustrator
I am using the latest version of Adobe Illustrator, i have restarted both my computer and my program numerous times and the issue persists. I am unable to move anything once placed on the Illustrator workspace. the only thing it allows me to do is to resize the objects but not move them.
It is really frustrating when you come across issues like this which just interrupt workflow preventing you from doing the simplest actions. I am sure there is a fix but I don't have the understanding to know how to fix the issue and the majority of forums I've read don't give a simple conclusive resolution to this issue.

@lewis, I wonder if you still have this problem in the latest builds of Ai.
The only thing that comes to my mind when I read the description is that you accidentally enabled the Object Selection by Path Only option in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display section... but in this case you would not be able to select it by clicking a fill...
