Illustrator crashing wheen trying to open any document
illustrator crashes as soon as i open it, I resently uppdated windows to 1809 and i have the latest illustrator updates. I tried diffrent ways to uninstall and remove both CC and illustrator with CC-cleaner and by following instructions on how to delete illustrator completly and reinstalling it again with no diffrence in result (still crashing). I cant say that my computer is the latest or the strongest but it worked for the first week then suddenly it started crashing.
I have a lenovo laptop with an 6:th gen i5, 8gb ram, ssd-storage and integrated graphics.
Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

I've experienced this too. The work around is to go into Windows printer settings, deselect the 'allow Windows to control the default printer' and force it to 'Adobe PDF'. I've no idea why - as it's been happily flipping between printers all this time but Illustrator seems to poll the printers on document creation/open and there's something it doesn't like that kills the process.
I don't think it's quite right to say it's not a generic issue (Rama) as it looks like, from a bit of googling, it's been a known issue for many versions of Illustrator on Windows. If it's feasible, it might be better to move whatever Illustrator's doing with the printers to when it's user invoked - then at least we'd still be able to use the rest of the program?
