"Save as PDF"/"View PDF after saving" checked/Acrobat DC error "file not found"
10/4/2019 Illustrator CC update broke "Save as" PDF option of viewing the PDF after a save-as to PDF. Acrobat DC gives a"PDF not found" error, but displays the file in the "Recent" Home window.

I am soooooooo sick of Illustrator crashing every 20-30 minutes, the only way I can prevent it is to disable scrubby zoom which is a critical part of my workflow. I need a solution, not a workaround. Is there one?

GERRR. This is happening to me too. I had to open the ai file in Acrobat and save it as a pdf. This is NOT convenient.

i had the same issue but for any reason it was working when try to save on the local drive, on the server it does not work. I solved the issue by disabling a beta functionality in the preferences
preferences>file handling & Clipboard> files> Optimize File Open and Save Time on Slow Networks

Yup. This is pretty inconvenient. Mine do not display in the 'recent' list after this error, either. So I don't know if this is an Illustrator issue or an Acrobat issue.

I've found that what it has been opening for me is actually the temporary file, not the one that is saved in the location I indicated. Then if I try to open a recent that opened from the temporary location I get the file not found error.
