File opens with one color value & the values change when placed in a new document
Hi There, I am working in the latest release of AI on a MacBook Pro OS 10.15.4 (Catalina) and I am reporting a bug I've encountered.
To preface, I don't know the age of the original logo file. The artwork is a PMS chip value, saved in an RGB document.
To get the RGB value of the logo I opened the file and inspect the color. Since it was a PMS, I go to the RGB view either in the color panel or the selector in the tool bar & I see a specific value. (0/53/98) when I paste the artwork into a brand new file the RGB value changes to (0/55/100).
In the 20 years I've been working I've never seen a color mix change from one document to another other when both are set as RGB. The same artwork is being used in each document.

To ensure the colors match, all apps should have their color settings synced, manually or via Bridge. If the problem still exists when the settings and color profiles match, please provide the details about the chosen settings, the color settings configuration files, the test files themselves, screenshots, etc., so the team can try to investigate this.

How are your color settings configured? I can only see this happening if the file you're getting color from is using a different RGB profile (or no profile) than the new file you create and paste art into.
