Font Size reduces by 0.003 pt (bug ?)
Adobe Illustrator CC 2020 (24.3, Mac), required for client delivery requirements.
We have very strict font specifications. In many EPS files, the font sizes appear to reduce by .003 pt no matter which way I select and change the font size: select the element [either with a selection tool or the Text tool], change to 12 pt, deleselct, select the font element again and it's back to 11.997 pt. (see text issue mp4 attached, raw data of EPS included as well). New/recreated text elements begin behaving this way as well. This happens in specific EPS files, and to multiple users.
The Character Panel and the Properties Panel side-by-side show different font specs (screen shot attached). We are NOT aligning to pixel grid (foreboden by contract), and the delivered graphics are for print production.
Expected result: the font size changes to 12 pt, and stays that way.
Actual result: the font size goes back to 11.997 pt in the Character panel
This may seem like a non-issue as the visual difference is nominal; however, I have a strict client that will edit these files after delivery, and any elements not to contractual specification (like font size) could lead to loss of wages. HELP!
If you happen to have a similar problem, please report a new bug and elaborate on details.

Thanks for the reply! Closing it for now. Hope it never comes back.

@Egor, I have not seen this issue in a very long time, so perhaps the issue has been resolved. I no longer work with the strict client, so my attention to font sizes has diminished. Please feel free to close this bug report. Thanks for responding!

I wonder if this pesky bug still hunts you?
I understand I come too late with the questions, but:
1. Can you reproduce it anew, starting from scratch?...
2. ...or using different final format?
3. ...or different font size or font family?
The data attached has nothing that useful I can see... no mentioning of the size used, only the font. Perhaps you can supply the actual test EPS?
