Window and panels moving when Mac goes to sleep
There is an issue with Adobe apps while using Mac M1 with an external monitor. When put in sleep, the windows and palettes move to the bottom half of the screen.
There are comments on this thread that confirm
this is an issue with specifically Adobe apps(illustrator, photoshop and indesign at least):

please, Adobe support, address this issue.

commentedThis still happens across all Adobe apps where you're not forced to use the application frame, so ai, indd & psd. I can't believe that, nearly 3 years later, Adobe still haven't fixed this bug! Actually, yes I can. My opinion of Adobe and their software quality has been very low for a very long time!

commentedM2 Pro Mac Mini with 4k monitor. Happens on both USB-C and HDMI outputs. And happens every time after wake from sleep in Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Dreamweaver - the palettes move and the document window moves down. Considering how much money we pay to Adobe, it's absolutely disgusting that this issue still hasn't been fixed in the 2 years since the OP first reported this issue.

commentedI believe this may resolve all your issues. System Preferences >> Mission Control >> Displays Have Separate Spaces

commentedI've been having this issue with Illustrator and Photoshop for what must be years now. I use a Cintiq and when I close the lid of my M1 Macbook Pro and then turn off the Cintiq, the windows shift down a quarter way down the screen when turning the Cintiq back on. Every. Single. Time. Several times a day. It is definitely a dual monitor issue and it has only affected Adobe apps.

commentedThis is very frustrating indeed. Happens to me on my Mac Studio with external Philips monitor connected via USB to Displayport. It's not limited to Illustrator - the same thing happens with Photoshop, Indesign, and Dreamweaver (that I've found so far). There are also odd modal window placements within Adobe apps, but let's get this one sorted first!

commentedNo, I'm afraid Ventura made no difference, nor did the new versions of the adobe apps.

Damien Girard commented This is still an issue as of November 2022 - it has been many months without any solution. The link to the discussion brings a 404 error. From what I have seen, this is very widespread. Adobe or Apple needs to address this. Does Mac OS Ventura fix this?

commentedUpdate: this is still happening with the CC 2023 release and macOS Ventura. Despite promises that this critical issue was being addressed by Adobe engineers, nothing has improved.

) festgelegt.

chey espejo commented I can confirm that this happens with Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop after the display and MacBook have gone to sleep. I am using a Macbook M1 Pro with Monterey 12.5.1

commentedThis happens to me (Mac Studio M1 Max, Studio Display). The main document window moves down but floating palettes move to the upper left corner of my screen.

commentedThis is occurring across all apps for me, too. No idea why I have to set up a separate account on here for each app, though...
