An error occurred while saving the comment Philip Byrne commentedThis bug HAS NOT been fixed with the version 24.0.1 update. It is not as frequent but has reappeared and Illustrator has crashed on save immediately after the error appeared.

Swatches with custom names were added to Libraries. Now, when adding them to swatches in a new document, they are not retaining their custom names but are reverting to their CMYK values.

An error occurred while saving the comment Philip Byrne commentedLigatures are a problem when generating accessible PDFs: they all result in a 'Character Encoding - Failed' error. We need a universal preference to turn them off by default.

Please share your thoughts on the following:
1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.
2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?
Thanks
YogeshAn error occurred while saving the comment Philip Byrne commentedPerhaps a separate app – Illustrator is bloated enough. Just as long as it has vastly improved capabilities in line with the likes of Excel and Word but is still tied in extremely closely to Illustrator. It should feel like the same app. We should also be able to customise the graph and have those customisations retained when data is edited.

We are excited to announce that this feature is now available in BETA (starting V 29.1.28).
The new 'Generate color info' helps you share color information with others.
To use this, just select the colors from the swatch panel and click on 'generate color info' in the menu options.
You can customise the size, layout, color codes etc.
PS : Currently we only support CMYK values but other color codes such as RGB, HSB, spot vs process colors are in pipeline and we will ship them shortly.
Please try out this feature and let us know what you think!
Thanks
Saurav

We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3
You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.

An error occurred while saving the comment Philip Byrne commentedUpdate: this is still happening with the CC 2023 release and macOS Ventura.
Despite promises that this critical issue was being addressed by Adobe engineers, nothing has improved.
