Exporting layered PSDs = Error 2393
Illustrator 27.8.1 64-bit
OS: Windows 10
Exporting AI to layered PSD fails, regardless of DPI or whether artboard exporting is enabled. Flattened PSD export still works. This process ultimately locks up and completely crashes Illustrator.
Steps: File -> Export -> Export as...
Attempting the process with a third party export script also locks up Illustrator.

Hi Egor,
I included the link in my email (along with my logs), no worries.
Removing layers = no help
Removing live text = no help
I've tried multiple AI's and none of them export as layered. I don't have a convenient EPS to test from sadly. -
When you email the project to sharewithai@adobe.com, please put the link to this report inside: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/47218388
And you said nothing about the results of the test. So, are you able to remove a part of the design to make Ai export it as layered? Also — does thus 27.8.1 at this machine is able to export anything layered at all, form other files? -

Hi Egor,
Maximum Editability = no change, same error number on output (2393). There *are* punctuation and non-roman characters in some of the layers but clearing that out doesn't make much of a difference - sometimes it'll let me go back to editing the document before crashing if I try to close the file or Illustrator itself.
My Macbook running 27.3.1 exports everything without issue, but obviously having to jump to a second computer every time I'm trying to export an image isn't valid. I tried pulling back my Windows machine (aka main workstation) to 27.3.1 as well and no dice.
Reverting Windows to 27.3.1 does not fix the error. I have an inkling this started occurring at the same time as the ZIP compression problems with InDesign exports, if that provides a reference point re: CC Framework.
Beta presents the same behaviour. Flat exporting = no problem, any kind of layering = 2393 Error. I also made sure all text was converted to outlines in case there was a font/activation issue and no luck.
No changes if using Maximum Editability. And yes, you're correct that I was using Ai2PSD.
Please let me know how to flag things to make sure you receive the files properly. Is there any kind of log generation I can enable as well?

J, does anything change if you enable Maximum Editability option?
Does it also happen for any other document? If it does, can you please make a copy of this do and try to remove some parts of the design to see if it changes anything on export? If it eventually does — can you share this file directly with the team via sharewithai@adobe.com ?
Are you able to export the file with a previous version of Ai, or the Beta one?The script you are referring to (if it’s Ai2PSD one) utilizes the standard export procedures, and therefore is vulnerable in the same way, unfortunately.
