Fill gradient cannot be saved
Fill gradient, save, and then open the file. Gradient colors will become invalid

Interesting catch.
I can confirm it.However, it’s possible to heal this compound path. At the very top of it there are two very small path (one being a singular point even). If you remove these, the gradient gets saves fine.
A bug nonetheless, but it’s probably due to the Shape Builder usage or something... the outer shape could have been just an ellipse :) -
