Would need some more details to know more about the problem.

You mentioned its happening since yesterday, what was the change you did yesterday which caused this? Did you upgrade Illustrator version?

Does it happen on some specific document ? if Yes, possible to share document with us ?

Also as there are multiple ways to add a new artboard in Illustrator. Do you see crash from all the options of creating a new artboard ?

I know too many questions but these are needed for isolating and debugging the issue further.

Hi,it is happening to me. Everytime I add an artboard it crashes and have to exit cause it never works again. That is been happening since yesterday! Even if its a new document. I checke any updates and everything is 'good'. Idk what to do. I have windows, Illustrator 29.8.1

Can you try our latest beta build and confirm if you still see this issue? Beta build can be downloaded from beta section in Creative Cloud.

Also it looks like something has to do with content of document. Is it possible for you to share document file where issue is reproducing ?

It started a couple of days ago.
No report or anything, just the wheel of death and I have to Force Quit, because it is not responding and does not respond after waiting a very long time.
I've opened a couple of other files, and it's not happening.
I created a new document and copied in the content from this file - it still happens.
I do not have any plugins or scripts.
I reset Illustrator preferences and it made no difference.
I haven't had any documents this large since the last updates, so I don't know if it's related to that.

Does it happen in this particular document only? HAve you tried doing this in other ones or a brand new one?
