Threaded text areas display only first lines when Adobe Every-Line composer is used, since 29.6
Issue: two or more threaded text areas no longer render all text inside. The text does still exist (as visible in View > Outline) but it does not render on screen or when exporting / saving out. Whereas text flashes visibility for single text areas with no threading, but does eventually show.
Actions taken: fresh text areas; freshly typed text (not copy-pasted); fresh document with fresh areas and fresh text. All do not render fully. Also ensured text is at the very top with no unseen masks or shapes obscuring. Turning off and on Outline View, bounding box, edges etc.
Temporary solution: rolling back to v29.5. In this earlier version threaded text areas render fully and correctly.
Ai: v29.6.x and v29.7
PC: Win 11 Enterprise; build 26100.4652 and 22631.5624.

And thanks for your time, troubleshooting and workaround.

It seems like it... The development of these never stops, for various reasons.
Thanks for discovering and reporting this. -

Thank you. Tested "Adobe Single-line" in 29.5 and it continues to behave as expected / normal (everything visible). Testing that same option in 29.6.1 and 29.7.1 does indeed fix the issue. Therefore it seems that threaded text areas using "Adobe Every-line composer" has broken since 29.6?

Behaves broken for me when I check in 29.7.1.
When I change the Composer to Adobe Single-line in the Paragraph panel’s flyout menu, it starts to work fine.
Can you try to toggle this option in 29.5, please, to verify this is a recent break and not just an inconsistency between the builds you have? -

Hello Egor. Please find attached. This is a confirmed file where the text appears correctly rendered in the two threaded areas on 29.5, yet does not on 29.6 and above. The typeface is Arial however the issue exists regardless of typeface (built-in, custom, Adobe). Many thanks.

Can you please share a simple test file that works fin in 29.5, but fails to get rendered in 29.6 and above, with the fonts used packaged (if these are not default ones)? It’s hard to say what’s wrong... When I try to replicate, it behaves fine for me.
