文字パネル側の「フォント名を英語で表記」設定が正常動作していない

文字パネルにある「フォント名を英語で表記」にチェックを入れても、すべてが英語名で表記されず、日本語のまま残る部分があります。
この状態で環境設定を確認すると、同名の設定では設定がONになっています。
環境設定で設定をONにした場合は正常に英語表記されます。
（ただし文字パネルでONにした状態で、環境設定を開き、そのままOFF・ONにした場合だと変わらず）

Even when checking “Display font names in English” in the Character panel, not all names are displayed in English; some remain in Japanese.
Checking the preferences in this state shows the setting is ON for the corresponding option.
If you turn the setting ON in the Preferences, it displays correctly in English.
(However, if you have it ON in the Character panel, open the Preferences, and then toggle it OFF and back ON, it remains unchanged.)

なるほど、文字パネルでの操作と環境設定での操作の双方の挙動を揃えるべきということですね。

「Illustratorを再起動し～」という注意書き自体はあるのは把握してます。
ただ、環境設定自体にもその記載はあるうえで、環境設定では特にIllustratorの再起動することなく、すべて英語表記に変わるので、操作する場所によって挙動自体が異なるというのが今回の主旨です。
（そのうえで設定が連動している、というものでもある）基本的には文字パネル側の設定は追加機能なので、環境設定で操作した場合と同様の挙動になるべきだと考えています。

文字パネルからの場合、チェックボックスを操作後Illustratorを再起動する必要があったと思います。Illustratorを再起動しても表示が変わりませんか？

パネルでの変更はIllustratorの再起動が必要だったように思います。再起動してもだめですか？
