    その他、オールキャプス、半角字形、全角字形といったものも標準字体にフォールバックします。スモールキャップスは仕組み的に先頭文字以外がサイズダウンされますが、その影響で標準字形に戻った２文字目以降のサイズが小さくなります。
    あと、欧文の合字なんかもダメです。

    先に例示したPDFでは「TA-ことだまR」が利用されています。このフォントはOS/2テーブルのfsTypeフラグが0x4であり、表示及び印刷用に限りフォントを埋め込むことを許可する設定となっています。ですから、このフォントを指定しPDFで書き出すとフォントが埋込まれます。
    Illustratorにおいても同様に表示用にフォントを埋め込むことはフォントライセンス上では問題ないものと考えていますが、Illustrator上でのフォントの埋込みの可否は他に考慮すべき事情があるのでしょうか？
    もし、そういった規約上の問題点が存在するのであれば、機能の利活用に際してユーザー側にそういった点を明確に示す必要があるでしょう。

    先の投稿に添付されたファイルはillustrator形式ファイルの拡張子をpdfに変更したものです。「.pdf」を削除の上Illustratorで開いてください。
    注目するべきは右下のEricMachatScript-Boldです。
    下のcaféでは異体字が使われていません。上の「Coffee」の「o」と「ee」の部分は異体字です。表示用にフォントが埋め込まれていますが、この異体字を指定した部分がnotdefグリフにフォールバックした状態で元のデザイン（アウトラインで示したもの）を再現できていません。

    The file attached to the previous post is an Illustrator file with the extension changed to pdf. Delete the ".pdf" and open it in Illustrator.
    Note the EricMachatScript-Bold in the bottom right.
    The "café" below does not use alternate glyph. The "o" and "ee" in "Coffee" above are alternate glyph. The font is embedded for display, but the parts that specify these alternate glyphs fall back to the "notdef" glyph and are unable to reproduce the original design (shown in outline).

    再現手順
    1.矩形を作成してドラッグしてコピーする。
    2.ペンツールで１度だけクリックし孤立点を作成する。
    3.以上のオブジェクトを選択し複合パスにする。
    4.適当なグラデーションを指定してドキュメントを閉じる。
    5.そのドキュメントを開くと指定したグラデーションがグレースケールのK100になる。

    期待する結果
    ドキュメントを開いた際に以前指定されたグラデーションが保持される。

    実際の結果
    グラデーションの読み込みが正常に行われずにK100にフォルバックする。

    現状の対処方法
    複合図形中の孤立点を削除する。

    保存されたIllustrator2020形式ファイルのデータ構造を確認するとBb〜BBオペレータのグラデーション定義の後ろに孤立点のデータが保存されています。複合図形中に孤立点以外のデータが１つの場合は正常に読み込めますが再現手順のように孤立点以外に複数個のパスオブジェクトが複合図形に含まれる場合はグラデーションがK100に置き換えられます。

    MIEさん、いつもお世話になっております。

    前述の方法で作成した異常なエリア内文字の状態を再現したIllustrator形式ファイルをお届けします。
    右側のテキストフレームのオーバーフロー部分がおかしなことになっています。このフレームを他のフレームにリンクさせようとするとIllustatorがクラッシュします。

    「~」ではなく「^（サーカムフレックス）」ではないでしょうか？
    macOSですけどver.29.0でも使えています。

    うちはmacOSもWindowsも安定していますので個別の要因があるのではないかと思います。

    Step to reproduce
    1. 任意の画像や図形を配置し、その上にテキストを入力する。
    2. 画像などとテキストを選択肢クリッピングマスクを適用する。
    3. マスクされた形状は実際のテキストが持つアウトライン形状とは異なる。
    4. このクリッピングマスクをかけた状態でアウトラインを作成すると表示が変化し正しいマスク状態になる。

    期待する結果
    フォントの持つアウトライン形状でクリッピングマスク処理される。

    実際の結果
    実際のアウトライン形状と異なる状態でマスクされる。おそらくフォントの持つBlueValueの影響を受けているのではないかと考えています。

    Step to reproduce
    1. place any image or object and type text over it
    2. Select object and text, apply Clipping Mask.
    3. The masked shape is different from the outline shape of the actual text.
    4. If you create an outline, the shape will change to the correct masked shape.

    Expected Result
    The clipping mask is processed with the outline shape of the font.

    Actual result
    Clipping Mask is performed with a state different from the actual outline shape. We believe that the BlueValue of the font is probably affected.

    I think when we create an object and select it, better to execute the redraw method to update document window before selecting it.

    添付の動画はver.27のen版ですがver.28でも同様の挙動です。報告ではAcrobatで開くとしていますが、動画では書き出されたPDFを配置して確認しています。
    右の通常のグループ化された状態のものはグループ自体を他の要素とノックアウトするために、グループ内の各属性は保持された状態になります。そのためオーバープリントプレビューにおいても当該グループに含まれるオブジェクトはノックアウト表示とはなっていませんが、PDFを書き出した際にページに含まれる全てのオブジェクトがグループの属性を無視してノックアウトされます。
