Select Same Fill is disabled
I recently migrated my Mac system from iMac Retina 5k to Apple M2 Ultra Mac Studio running Tahoe 26.2. Updated my full Creative Suite (Illustrator 30.1) and all was working fine will all latest updates and all until I began to work on basic vector shapes. Seems like I cannot select any fill doing Select > Same > Fill as I did for years before. Do I need to delete my preferences perhaps? I even tried very basic shapes, 3 squares, and option to Select Same Fill is greyed out...
Now I will push "post idea" button hoping that it is in reality "post your bug" button which I failed to find.
Also you guys changed layout and now I cannot figure out how to post a bug, took me 20 minutes trying to find where I can post about this bug (even now I am not sure I found the right option (this bugs me too as I came here to report a bug)).
Got fixed with a Preferences reset. If you have a similar problem — please back up you Preferences folder before resetting, for the team to study them.

I reset preferences and that did the trick. I guess preferences migrated to new system and even after updates something was glitching... sorry, I already deleted preferences before I saw your message... Thanks for the feedback though! That is very encouraging!) as for interface, it is not a big deal really, as long as it works, even though it is slightly confusing...

This is super odd. There were several similar singular reports, without much details provided, but it’s not enough to diagnose anything.
Before resetting Preferences, please zip the folder and back it up, in case you want to restore it later and/or the team would like to study them.
No matter if it helps or not — please comment back.As for the layout — no, it didn’t change really since 2017, only more sections got added.
UserVoice treats everything as an idea. The only difference is the forum you choose. 'Desktop Bugs' is the right one.
