Unknown Error when saving
Windows - Adobe Illustrator 2026
When saving files for a proof - Press Quality, no editing, password, low resolution printing, no changes, no enabling copying of text - this error comes up on the first attempt every time.
If I save it a second time, this error doesn't happen. I wasn't receiving this issue until I updated to 30.2.1, but it was rare. Now that I've updated to 30.3 it became every time I saved a new file for the first time. As much as I want the turntable feature, I'm going to have to use 30.1 again until the issue is resolved. Having this error come up so often is slowing down production.

Can you please disable it and observe the behavior for some time, would anything change? This option was reported quite a lot to cause various problems when saving and reading files back.
Also — do you keep the project file in a cloud-managed folder or not? -
Yes I do. The only changes I've made to the preferences is in the general tab.

Kasi, in Preferences > File Handling — do you have the "Save in Background" option enabled, when this happens?
