COMMAND F (PASTE IN PLACE) NOT WORKING!!!

paste in place is not working all of a sudden. Command F acts like command V. It just pastes randomly. Even selecting paste in place from the menu doesn't work. This is incredibly annoying and the enemy of precision. PLEASE RESTORE!!!!

    Akila, cmd+F is no Paste in Place, but Paste in Front, and it depends on the current artboard selected (and the one that was selected when you copied something)... How many artboards do you have?
    Can you please show a video recording of this with the Layers and Artboards panels both visible?
