Illustrator artboard refuses to show.
I’ve been experiencing this issue in Illustrator for about a year, and it still hasn’t been fixed. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the application several times, updated Windows and my graphics card drivers, and tried every troubleshooting step I can think of. I’ve toggled GPU settings and adjusted options in the Performance menus, but nothing has worked.
Whenever I open Illustrator and load an artboard, it doesn’t appear. The same thing happens when I open an SVG or an image: the artboard remains blank. As a result, I can’t edit or make changes to vector artwork or images in Illustrator.

Justin, you say 'open an SVG or an image' — do you mean importing an externally-created SVG file? 'image' — is it a raster image you mean? if so — how do you 'open' it?
How does the canvas look when you try to import these? Please share screenshots.
