Order of duplicated artboards is reversed
A big issue is that if you select several artboards at once to duplicate them and they were in order
A
B
C
they used to duplicate as
copy of A
copy of B
copy of CSince the latest Illustrator update they mirror instead, as
copy of C
copy of B
copy of AMakes batch duplication worthless and I now have to duplicate each one separately OR do the set and then move them around manually.

Rasterizing an object inside of a clipping group flattens the clipping group itself
If we need to rasterize one selected object inside of the clipping group, we have to isolate the object to avoid flattening the clipping group. Isolating only the clipping group won’t help, we have to 'drill into' the object specifically!
This doesn’t happen for simple groups — with these we don’t have to isolate anything at all, just selecting a child is enough.
Thanks to Junior Rocha for raising this up.

アートボード左上の角に丸が表示される / Brush tip shape appears in top-left corner of the artboard
- MacOS14(Sonoma)+Illustrator2025(29.5)で確認
- Windows
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new document in Illustrator.
- In the Brushes panel, click a Calligraphic Brush thumbnail.
- A round shape appears in the top-left corner of the artboard.
Workaround:
- Switching to the Brush Tool before clicking the brush prevents this.
- Switching to the Brush Tool after the shape appears will remove it.After switching to the Brush Tool once, it won’t appear again during the session.
Notes:
- Reproduced on macOS 14 (Sonoma) + Illustrator 2025 (v29.5).
- Also confirmed…14 votesSupposedly fixed in the latest Beta 30.4.0.80 — if possible, please update and check if you ever see the brush tip.

Pressing Ctrl/Cmd+Enter in Color field no longer adjusts other color values proportionately with live color preview since 27.1.1
Prior to 27.1.1, when live color changes were made, we were able to use Ctrl/Cmd+Enter after changing a value to proportionally move all other sliders, which is an equivalent of dragging a slider with Ctrl/Cmd key held.
The face the preview is now live should not kill this old feature., since Ai surely can remember previous values.14 votesWe have fixed the issue and a build with the fix is available in Beta.

BMP bitmaps are seen as RGB, lose transparency and cannot be coloured in 28.5
Place a .BMP 1 bit file in AI 28.5. It is seen as RGB and cannot be coloured.
PSD and TIF bitmaps work fine.

Mixed stroke colors become white when changing fills using CMYK spectrum in an RGB document
There is a way to make objects loose their stroke colors in specific conditions.
1. Create an RGB document
2. Create two shapes
3. Make them have same fill color, but different stroke colors
4. Select both
5. In Control panel Shift+click the arrow button next to the fill chip, to call the alternate UI with sliders and spectrum instead of Swatches view
6. In this dropdown panel’s menu pick CMYKStrokes become white.
This does not happen if the color mode in this panel is left RGB or HSB.
Also, strokes become white if you pick a color in…13 votesExpected to be fixed in the latest Beta build 30.4.42 — please update and check if it’s truly fixed

Deselect All command is not active in Artboard mode and the hotkey select all instead
When you pick the Artboard Tool, you enter a special 'artboard mode', and it modifies the behavior of standard 'object mode' commands.
For example, pressing Cmd/Ctrl + A (Select All) will select all artboards instead of objects.
But for some reason pressing Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + A (Deselect All) does not deselect all artboards, but selects them all instead.
And if I try to call it from the menu, it will deselect objects instead of artboards (if I have any object selected) or just be inactive (if I have no object selected). This is hardly consistent and makes deselecting artboards…
12 votesThe hotkey (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+A by default) now works in the Artboard mode to deselect all artboards, in the latest Beta 30.4.0.80. Please check!

Reordering artboards / double clicking an artboard zooms me into that artboard
I experience the following disorienting app behaviour.
How to reproduce:
1. Zoom out with all the artboards in view.
2. In the artboard list, find which artboard is highlighted.
3. Click-and-drag that artboard. (Don't even really need to reorder it)Expected behavior:
Nothing asides from reordering the artboards.Actual behavior:
I am now zoomed into that artboard. I then have to zoom back out and continue reordering artboards at my desired birds-eye-view distance.
12 votesThis is expected to be fixed in the latest Beta Build 29.5.0.15 — the double-click on the item in the Artboards panel now should not zoom to the artboard on canvas, hooray! Please check if this now behaves as expected and comment back

Rotation of a text while Snap to Grid is on
You can't rotate a text with the Rotate tool when Snap to grid is on.
Please watch the GIF attached.
Then try to replicate.
Open the attached document.
Enable Snap to Grid.
Select text.
Grab Rotate tool.
Hold Shift (or even do not).
Try to rotate the text.
Failure?
If yes, move it a bit to the side (with snapping still on) and try again.
Experiment a bit with different positions.12 votesAppears to be fixed in the latest Beta 29.5.0.15!

Live Paint bucket tool preview error
Adobe Illustrator CC 2021 (25.2.1 64-bit) on Windows 10 Home Edition.
After the Live Paint Bucket tool is selected, out of the 3 preview swatches above the pointer, the center one is always wrong / inverted. This bug is consistent when we press the left & right arrow keys on the keyboard to select a swatch. On the other hand, the Swatches panel would reflect the correct option when the Live Paint Bucket tool is in used.
When the Live Paint Bucket tool is selected, the center swatch in the 3 preview swatches should accurately reflect the color option, just…

Moving a part of a blend with any Selection tool makes it move faster than expected
In 29.7.1 (and Beta 29.9.0.6) when I move one object in a blend with any selection tool, inside or outside of isolation, it moves twice as much.
This is similar to this problem with symbols — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/5029351211 votesSeems to work as expected in Beta 30.0.0.72 — moving an object now works as expected. Please try to update and verify if it’s safe to be pushed into General build

Images within opacity masks shift
When using multiple opacity masks in a file in an earlier version, including 29.31. Opening it in illustrator 29.4 almost all the images used for the masks are repositioned to the center of the page.

Create Gradient and Create Swatch Info don’t get played in actions
Swatches panel’s flyout menu now has two new commands, Create Gradient and Create Swatch Info.
When we try to record these into actions, they get added fine — but once played, nothing happens at all: no gradient gets built, no color legend appears on canvas.
As always, these new additions don’t get integrated into the application enough... Please don’t abandon them!11 votesThis fix is available in latest Beta build - 30.4.0.80.
Give it a try at your end and let us know your observations.

Artwork gets shifted when an artboard is resized with width and height constrained and Scale Artwork Constrained enabled
CC 2025 v29.0 introduces the long-awaited "Scale Artwork with Artboard" option. When we drag the transformation frame with the Artboard tool, the objects are scaled synchronously, and the position’s calculated properly.
However, when we start to enter the width or height of the artboard, with Constrain locked, the objects get shifted relative to the artboard after being scaled.
The problem has been confirmed on both MacOS and PC.11 votesFixed in Beta 29.1.0.93

The ignoreWhite property of tracingOptions does not work
Illustrator v 28.0 - Image Trace option check box for Ignore White has been replaced with Ignore Color and an eyedropper option. While I think this is a good addition for manual use, it appears to have somewhat broken the ability to use image trace properly in javascript as the change has made the original "tracingOptions.ignoreWhite = true" no longer work. I suspect there is now an additional option/variable responsible for the color to be ignored's selection but it doesnt appear to be refferenced in any of the current documentation. I've tried adding the method for Abutting (also undocumented) as…

Persistent Toolbar Rich Tooltips
Tooltips are particularly buggy when using more than one monitor, they tend to persist and keep animating whilst users are attempting to focus on what they are doing within the interface.
