mine have a different problem, text to vector graphic isnt showing up, even mockup and retype are showing up fully working without any problem but i dont know why its not showing up in my app, pls if someone knows the solution pls tell me.

Everything is updated and it still produces black squares for me unfortunately..

Unfortunately not solved on my machine, still gives a black rectangle after a long wait.

I am having the same problem, with the same result as others:
it acts like it's going to work then says "something went wrong" in red and then the whole program runs slow/shuts down.

It is getting worse:
In 28.0 it takes a minute to generate an error message.
In Beta 28.1 87 it takes about 6 minutes to create a black square without warning or error message.

Unfortunately 28.1 74 looks promising, but it is giving the same black square.

Same problem. In the Properties Panel, Text to Vector shows three options being developed that match the text. As the progress bar nears the end, the "Something Went Wrong" error message appears.

MacBook becomes temporarily unusable after the error appears.
