  1. Can’t overwrite values in size fields of the New Document dialog

    When creating a new document, you cannot click into width or height box and select as one and overwrite - previously you could do this.

    You have to use backspace — incredibly irritating. Please fix.

  2. Window tabs in illustrator glitch can't navigate

    I've lost the ability to navigate and manage my tabs in illustrator on MacOS High Sierra 10.13.3. Multiple restarts of my computer have not solved this, please fix this super frustrating glitch!

  3. Strokes become sporadic and missing in some places

    Strokes become sporadic and missing in some places. I don't know what the issue is. My strokes were perfect yesterday and now I update my Mac and the strokes are now sporadic, jagged and missing in places. See screenshot.

    Hi,

    Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Is this happening even now with the latest Illustrator version. Please revert back if you are facing this even now.

  5. Opacity bug

    AI CC 2018
    I turned the opacity down on a selection to see below layers. Then I went to work on below layers. Upon returning to original layer and re-selecting the object to return it to 100% opacity it showed I was already at 100%. I could not get it back to 100% until I copied and pasted the object to a new layer.

    Hi,

    It seems like opacity is applied on the Layer and not on the object inside that layer. It is possible that the user is selecting object inside the layer and not the layer itself. Hence the user is able to see the opacity of object which is 100% in this case and not the changed opacity of layer.

  6. Version 2025 crashes more than usual and freezes when a pen used with tablet

    With the last update 2025 there have been crashes, more than usual, and when I use the pen and the graphic tablet, Illustrator freeze.

  7. 選択したオブジェクトのバウンディングボックスがずれる

    いつもお世話になっております。
    非常に便利なソフトを開発し運営し続けてくださっていることに心から感謝いたします。

    本日Illustrator使用時に以下のようなバグが確認されましたのでご報告させていただきます。

    シェイプを選択時に最大まで拡大をした時にバウンディングボックスがオブジェクトとずれている。
    ver 27.0.1の時にはこの現象は起こっておらず、ver 27.1.1にアップグレードした後に確認された。

  8. Illustrator crashes everytime I try to edit a graph

    First the graph tool was working perfectly, I made an area graph. But now after making some changes in colors and fonts in the graph, Illustrator is consistently crashing everytime I hit "Type" to edit it. How can I solve this?

  9. Recent work thumbnails are missing on the welcome page

    When I launch my latest version of the Desktop illustrator app there are no more visible the thumbnails of the recent work. Please bring it back.

  10. Action batch saving with data sets does not put out multiple files

    I updated to version 25.4 and had a file with multiple data sets. I have an action that saves as a PDF and I wanted to "batch" this action as I have done multiple times in the past to create multiple PDFs.
    However, now only one file gets saved and it gets overwritten constantly when the action repeats. The saved file name is whatever the file was saved as when recording the action, so it is not even the data set name.

    I have now reverted to the oldest version I could find which was 24.3 and it is working…

  11. Grid View fails to render grid lines at various zoom levels.

    I am experiencing a persistent problem with Gridlines not rendering correctly at larger zoom levels (for several weeks now).

    Adobe Illustrator (25.3.1)/Preferences/Guides & Grid:
    Gridline every: 72px
    Divisions: 18
    Grids In Back: Checked
    Show Pixel Grid (Above 600% Zoom): Checked

    As you can see in the attached screen shot (800% Zoom) that is not a grid.

  13. SVG Export Distortion

    I am having 0 success with Adobe Illustrator exports that incorporate filters. Some are stock images from Adobe stock that have polygonal patters. Others are 3D text rendered objects. Others are layers built with a variety of transparency filters and opacity settings. The SVG exports are not usable and we are resorting to .png files until we solve this.   14. Isolate Selected Groups Does Not Work in CC 2019

    Spent 4 days following a tutorial thinking I was losing my mind.
    Then, it dawned on me I downloaded CC 2019 four days ago.
    Downloaded CC2017 and the operation works as advertised.
    Used especially for cartooning…
    Goes like this:
    1. Select all inked artwork>Object>Expand Appearances>Merge.
    Create and color a rectangle covering artwork.
    Select All>Merge
    Then>>>>>Right Click<<<< and click "Select Isolate Selected Groups”
    This will put editable color with all closed line work.

    The enclosed pic is where things go wrong in 2019
    Once Isolate Selected groups is clicked you should be able to delete the outside green in isolation mode…

  15. Files don’t get displayed when opened or displayed corrupted with Application Frame enabled

    These are not 'ideas' they are bugs, errors, problems - stop with the Orwellian language, just makes you look insincere and untruthful.

    The problem:
    When Application Frame is selected, files either do not display when opened or have a corrupted display. Doesn't happen every time, but quite often.
    Mac Pro macOS 10.12.6, Illustrator 22.1

    1. The dropdown menu in the type window for anti-aliasing options is disabled seemingly at random.
    1. The anti-aliasing dropdown menu in the type window allows me to designate a render setting to one type selection however, this setting also seemingly applies to all type on the document (i.e. I cannot apply "Sharp" to one text block and "Strong" to another).

  17. Properties doesn’t show alignment options for live shapes

    In the new Properties panel if you select a custom shape you get the alignment options, including the option to switch between "Align on artboard" and "Align on selection".
    If you select an live shape e.g. a circle, you don’t get these options in the Properties panel and you also have no option in the Align panel window to select if you want to align on artboard or selection.

    The Properties panel should have the possibility to align all elements, shapes and so on.

  18. Can't select linked png/bmp files when they have transparent backgrounds.

    Placing several linked BMP or PNG files with transparent backgrounds causes them to become randomly unselectable by clicking on them. You have to go to outline mode, find and select the edge of the image, or select with marquee tool and then carefully unselect the extra objects. Either way, it cannot be moved except to click on the edge of the images frame. This has been an issue for years. I think I may have even posted about it before, but can't find that now. IMO this is an issue that should be escalated as it such a basic operation…

  19. 塗りの線幅が縮小すると幅が変わってしまう

    図形や文字の幅をアピアランス→塗りを指定→パスのオフセットで
    幅を変更しています。ｖ29.61と29.6でイラレを使用すると
    縮小などをした際に幅の比率が変わってしまいます。(線幅と効果拡大縮小もチェック済み)
    ※線で作成した図形や文字は比率を守ってくれます
    29.51を使用すると問題なく拡大縮小ができます。
    これはバグなのでしょうか？

  20. Objects vanish when a PDF is exported

    The PDF document is not being saved correctly. I have tried saving it in different ways, changing the elements and it still isn't working. I believe it is a problem in Acrobat itself perhaps?
