    Currently, Illustrator only allows me to select PNG-8 in the export settings. When I try to export as a regular PNG (which should include transparency), the file doesn’t preserve the transparency, the background turns solid instead.

    Could you please confirm if this is a known bug or if there’s a workaround?

    As per Junior Rocha:
    > This happens to me if I go first in File > Export > Export for Screens and open de Format Settings.
    > The Format Settings gets fixed on Asset Export.
    > I have to do that every first time I export something through Export Assets or the new Artboard Export.

    When I try to export a selection to .png, it creates the png file with white background, and it doesn't give me the option to edit it like it did before. The PNG configuration part where this is done is gone.

    Version 29.8.1 and 29.8.2
    English and Japanese Edition

    In the Asset Export format settings, the number of items displayed differs from what should normally appear.
    This issue does not occur immediately after installation. It reoccurs when Illustrator is closed and reopened, then the settings are displayed via Asset Export.
    Temporarily displaying “Export for Screen” from the File menu's Export option restores normal display.
    This phenomenon does not occur in 28.7.10.
    But, this phenomenon occurs in 30.0.72 Beta.

    Japanese explanation:
    「アセットの書き出し」にある「形式の設定...」で、表示される項目が通常と異なり少なくなってしまいます。
    インストール直後に動かした場合には発生しません。Illustratorを一度閉じて再度起動し、アセットの書き出しから設定を表示すると、この問題が発生します。
    一時的な回避方法として、ファイルメニューの書き出しオプションから「スクリーン用に書き出し...」でダイアログを一度表示させると正常に表示されます。
    （Illustratorを再度終了させて起動すると再発しますので、また同じ手順が必要です）
    この現象は 28.7.10 では発生しません。
    しかし30.0.72 Betaでは発生します。
