1. Custom presets for Asset Export

   The newly added feature in beta to save custom presets in "Asset Export" does not work properly.

   It only saves "x" factor scales. Other scales "Width", "Height" or "Resolution" don't save at all but are instead converted to "x" scales. So 1000px becomes 1000x.

4. AppleScript Bugs Latest versions

   The latest Illustrators have NEW bugs I have consistently experienced on multiple machines with mixed intel/m1/m2 Macs with the following:

   1) Getting Name of Artboard no longer works
   Examples

   "tell application "Adobe Illustrator"
   tell document 1
   set artboardName to get name of artboard index 1
   end
   end"

   or

   "tell application "Adobe Illustrator"
   tell document 1
   set artboardName to (name of artboard index 1)
   end
   end"

   2) Make Artboards MRAP Error when doing consecutively failing more often with a document containing more than one artboard. For example the following script always fails at the 6th repeat if one artboard and the 5th repeat if starting with 2 artboards......4th if starting with 3 artboards.......and so on.

5. Snap to pixel is gone.

   When designing artworki for video and the web it is critical that you maintain precise alignment with the pixel grid. Previous versions of Illustrator had a Snap To Pixel option in the view menu. This is not gone. It makes designing for the web and video nearly impossible when dealing with fine lines and hard edges.

   Put it back.

6. Illustrator 2022 doesn't support Emoji Characters

   Someone IT fella in Adobe Illustrator removed the Emoji as characters in Illustrator 2022! Now we are not able to type Apple Emojis in Illustrator!

9. Beta App Naming Consistency

   I’ve got no clue where to post this as I only see a Prerlease forum for Illustrator and not a Beta forum. Anyways, for the love of Pete, Adobe can you please be consistent in naming your beta apps.
    
   The Photoshop app is named as such. The folder tree: Adobe Photoshop (Beta) > Adobe Photoshop (Beta).app.
    
   But the Illustrator beta app is: Adobe Illustrator (Beta) > Adobe Illustrator.app.
[With no beta in the app name.]
    
   Why do I care? Because some of us on macOS use the Command+P system search to open apps. Doing a search for Illustrator Beta returns only the folder, not the app.

15. Assertion failure on loading a size preset

    Error when loading a preset

    Illustrator Beta 27.3
    Windows 11 latest version

    After starting AI Beta I wanted to load the preset Web-large 1920x1080.
    Right after opening the preset I got the message Debug Assert failed!
    Clicking Debug fixed it.
    It keeps happening.

16. USD exports can't be imported into Apple's AR tools

    It's great to see the USD tools getting closer to release, and I can confirm that I can preview the USD files that Illustrator makes in macOS. However, because they're USD and not USDZ, I can't import them into any of Apple's Developer tools, and they throw errors when trying to import them into Reality Converter.

17. The mouse wheel is broken for both scrolling and the animated zoom in 27.2.0.315

    The behavior of the mouse wheel is changed drastically for both scrolling and the animated zoom in 27.2.0.315!
    For some reason the Beta seem too treat one rotation of the wheel as an infinite and uninterrupted one, unless the mouse is moved. It leads to infinite scroll and instant zoom, completely unusable. Please take a look at the screen recordings attached.

    27.1.1_wheel.mp4 is how the released version behaves. One tick of the wheel — one step of zoom (with Animated Zoom on), or one scroll step.

    27.2.0.315_wheel.mp4 is how the Beta does it. If I don’t move the mouse when I move the wheel, it gets scrolled all the way uninterrupted, and zooms to the extreme in a blink. Just terrible!

    The behavior of the mouse wheel is changed drastically for both scrolling and the animated zoom in 27.2.0.315!
    For some reason the Beta seem too treat one rotation of the wheel as an infinite and uninterrupted one, unless the mouse is moved. It leads to infinite scroll and instant zoom, completely unusable. Please take a look at the screen recordings attached.

    27.1.1_wheel.mp4 is how the released version behaves. One tick of the wheel — one step of zoom (with Animated Zoom on), or one scroll step.

19. I can't save anything made in the Beta application

    A popup stating I don't have the right permissions required to save my work appears, and then the application crashes. I've lost 2 pieces of work now.
