A couple of questions on this:
1. Would it be okay to have a separate spec creation service much like the upcoming Adobe XD service? On this service, anyone with a link, can select any objects, and view its dimensions (W/H), colors, fonts etc. Or should it be inside Illustrator.
2. Are you only going to create horizontal, and vertical dimensions? Or would you also like to have angular dimensions as well?
Please share more details about your workflow.
Thanks,

This bug is easily reproduce-able, just hold alt prior to dragging to create a copy and the cursor sticks to the mouse pointer. It does not occur when dragging and holding alt afterwards.

The latest 2022 release has the Discover window that you can quickly call using F1 by default, which searches most if the commands available.
Have you tried it? Please tell us how it differs from what you expect from the global search you have in mind? What is missing or can be improved? An error occurred while saving the comment Intuos commented
It should be both a top bar button and a user-configurable hotkey to access a pop-up menu, just like Indesign's quick appply.

In Version 26.0.3, this is very annoying. There is no visual clue that locked nested layers are selected, until you manipulate them. They should not be selected in the first place! There are too many bugs in the latest releases!
