A couple of questions on this:
1. Would it be okay to have a separate spec creation service much like the upcoming Adobe XD service? On this service, anyone with a link, can select any objects, and view its dimensions (W/H), colors, fonts etc. Or should it be inside Illustrator.
2. Are you only going to create horizontal, and vertical dimensions? Or would you also like to have angular dimensions as well?
Please share more details about your workflow.
Thanks,

We’re exploring turning ‘Hyphenation’ OFF in [Normal Paragraph Style] of all Document Profiles.

Please share your thoughts on the following:
1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.
2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?
Thanks

I am excited to announce that 'Scale artwork with Artboard' feature is now available in Illustrator Beta. To access it, open the Creative Cloud app and go to "Beta apps" and install "Illustrator (Beta)" . New Preference in Properties panel is added to control scaling of artboard content while scaling artboard.
Scaling of strokes , effects and patterns during artboard scaling can also be controlled from transform panel .
We look forward to your feedback on this new feature in Illustrator.
Regards,
Illustrator Team .

This could be useful implemented as a modifier when dragging points.
For example, hold [ctrl/alt] when dragging one point on to another to merge them.[Object/Path/Join] is good but can be inefficient and sometimes ineffective due to its use conditions. Would be great if this could be a more interactive and absolute process.
Yes and yes.
A discrete chart/infographic designer could be fantastic. Certainly it would be more widely adopted and would have the potential to be more robust than a tool within AI (e.g. linking, layered data sets, animation etc.).
Data visualization seems to be a common need across all media types and it would make sense to have a focused tool that can easily integrate with varying workflows incl. providing editable source to Ai/Ps/Ae, or direct placement in In/Pr/Dw/Mu etc..
That said, I'm hesitant to suggest work on a new product (with undetermined design goals, and that could be discontinued at some point) over working to modernize an established product that I use daily.
The other problem is that these two choices almost certainly will deal with different users and use-cases, to the point that they aren't really comparable. IMHO, when and if this great infographic app is available let's then pose the question "do you still need a chart tool in Ai?" - until then, lets fix what's broken.
