I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.0.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

AI 2020 unit preferences STILL don't save / hold / keep active
Mac Mojave & Catalina iMacs 27 inNEVER will open an mm or cm document in inches. won't create/hold artboards in inches either!!!!!

this is so bizarre since our versions of illustrator 2020 on Mac/mojave & Catalina WILL NOT EVER keep and show unit preferences as INCHES which is what we need on every document we open or create in illustrator.
It NEVER opens a document in inches. what gives?

absolutely. ALL other UI features for Mac apps and even adobe apps have CMD-H as hide app default. no reason illustrator should not be that way.
YES I know you can change it but why should I have to when default for others is CMD-H. truly stupid adobe.
It is so freeking annoying that whoever sets it up in any other way is clearly not a frequent user but merely an engineer or coder. ridiculous after all these years, upgrades. truly stupid and not listening to users.

CMD-H should be HIDE ILLUSTRATOR -- it is so fricking annoying that this is not fixed yet. Really inefficient and time wasting that it is not. What is up w/ you guys -- especially the mac os x interfaces/panels/etc. Read up much on UX for macs? sheesh. this is a hateful (lack of) feature you have devised (or not employed). Ridiculous it is not fixed after all these versions since it once worked -- like the other adobe apps.

Next time you encounter this, please put the piece of art in a separate file and share it with the team for investigation — so far nobody did that.

object path outline not working for me
choosing the stroke panel, align stroke to outside nor align stroke inside are not working / won't allow them to be chosen/clicked.

BTW the above tip does work on Adobe cc 2019 with a doc open. Save pref units as millimeters/MM. then re-open prefs and save units as inches. Thanks Jude Wood!

please fix this bug!!! the preferences and/or units in the artboard set up should change the ruler and all units in the document. I want inches -- i work at a publication that uses inches!!!!!
even if i open a doc created in points, when I change the artboard and/OR preferences units to inches, the document should CHANGE!!!! for me the user, not you the coder.
