The units of the artboard do not update in the properties panel when I change the Rulers Units.
I have to de-select, and re-select the artboard to make this happen.
We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.1
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in update.

My Illustrator was updated two days ago and I still need to select a unit of measure, go to my document, then go back to Preferences to get the unit of measure to change. Illustrator has had this glitch for years. I finally decided to contact Adobe about it.
I clicked on the document AKA using the select (V) tool I clicked in any open space. Then in the properties panel under "Document" I changed the unit to millimeters. This seemed to change it for the artboards aswell.

this still happen in latest version. sigh
It's been like this since...I don't know the prehistoric times. Would it be hard, to have a button to change the units, rather than to go to the preferences to change it, just to see it stays the same. LOL

When opening a new document units are points but the rules shows inches. Can't get the actual measurement to change to inches no matter what. Always in points. Artboard measurement are in inches on the control bar but in points in the artboard panel.
