The most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added.
Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them.
The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. If you find this odd and want to change it — vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/45855823-sync-the-order-of-align-and-distribute-menu-comman
Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

An error occurred while saving the comment kenwells.com commentedIf I select a shape on the artboard that I want to enlarge while keeping the top left corner in place, I mouse-click the proxy indicator (attached) before the shape modification event.
I wish with all my heart, you could provide key commands for this. It could be something like ALT + X + 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. 8. 9 on the keypad. By selecting number ALT + X + 4 would position the proxy indicator at middle left, to mirror the layout of the number pad.

Illustrator today has Cut, Copy, Paste and other Paste variants in the context menu.
However, Lock and Hide are missing still. Please continue voting and commenting if you need these items.

The team has encountered several issues with this feature. It requires them to change the basic algorithms and it is going to take them more time than anticipated.
While it still works in Beta 28.8.0.7, the next Beta build will have Inside/Outside aligned strokes for open paths disabled. The Beta is scheduled to be live on 7th of August.
Once this is ready to be enabled back, the team will update the status.

An error occurred while saving the comment kenwells.com commentedI'd like to change the "Set the Reference Point" in the proxy mechanism in the "Transform" properties with the KEYBOARD.
What can I do?
I can't create a custom keyboard shortcuts to select a different "Reference Point".
Alternately, When attempting to create 9 custom Actions associated with the keyboard, I ran out of keys because a function key is always required. And a modified function key (with ALT and/or Cntl) are partially reserved and (apparently) hard coded to some actions such as Ctrl+Shift+F4 make the application close the file without a dialog box. -

You guys do sort of change things to frustrate us. I would like to select some text and try a few colors to see how it would look. For example, you need to make a couple of words red in color, but leave the rest of the text alone. It's hard to work like this.
