Version 29.7.1 and still not fixed. This problem should be solved as soon as possible, it is a waste of time to have to snap pixels and realign every single artboard I create and compromises a lot my workflow. Why don't they do anything about it?!

July 2025, version 28.7.1 and still an issue. It completely ruins the workflow by adding unnecessary steps to rename artboards that already had correct names. Very annoying, hope you fix it soon.

The solution is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
PDF is now available as type in File > Export > Export As dialog.
However, File > Adobe PDF Presets menu, similar to one InDesign has, to allow even quicker export, is absent still.
If you want to have it, please upvote this new request here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48670088

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

It's been more than 2 years ago since my last comment looking for a solution about this bug. I just updated to the latest version available and I'm still having problems with selecting/rotating things. The feedback in this problem solving forum is a total disappointment.

We are working towards giving preference to Photoshop for editing linked images, if Ps is installed. This may mean the label showing as ‘Edit on Photoshop’ when an linked image is selected. The change does not affect OS level file type associations.

Adobe Illustrator 29.7.1
I usually work with different asset files for UI/UX prototypes (buttons, icons, info cards, etc.), and I save everything in Adobe Creative Cloud. I left this file complete and untouched for a month while I received feedback from the client, and after I decided to open it again to work on changes, I discovered that many text elements had completely disappeared from the file. Some were grouped, others weren't, but the strange thing is that elements with any specific characteristics didn't disappear; rather, they seemed to have been deleted randomly: some artboards retain the buttons and icons without the text, while others are completely identical, retaining the text. The fact is that the entire interface uses the same font family (and for other projects as well), which is the first time this has happened.
I don't know if attaching the Illustrator file is helpful, since it simply appears without text boxes and I'm currently rewriting and updating the file. However, I would like to find some explanation for what happened, since I simply saved the file to the cloud and after a while, when I tried to reopen it, I found it incomplete, with no error message in the file or any evidence of recent editing. If there's any risk of losing some or all of the content in the files we upload to the cloud, it's better to know so we have a local backup copy.
Edit: couldn't upload the Ai file or the fonts to this post, it marked me Error 500 and to try again later. But I attach some screenshots comparing the arbtboards of the affected file (red assets) and other similiar I have (golden assets) to show the missing texts.
