  1. Preview Fonts with a Nonlinear Font-Scrolling/Characteristic(s) Palette [similar to Photoshop Brush palette]

    The new-ish font preview while scrolling one's font list is DYNAMITE.

    It would be even better if there was some kind of interface other than a linear list. It could be customized for characteristics (similarly to the way PS brush palette operates).

    Would be great to quickly scrub all Script fonts, Serifs, Sans Serifs, Techno, Geometric, or get really specific with Preview all Glyphs and special characters, etc.

    Rather than linear, the tool could be more useful with nonlinear funtionality.

  2. Make row size in Layers Panel Options to save between launches

    Make the thumbnail size settings permanent, so that on launch they are always the same no mater what document you open.

  3. PLEASE an option to increase the thumbnail size in symbols libraries

    Please, any option to increase thumbnail size when viewing symbols libraries , even if it's only limited a 2x more magnified than currently available as the large list view.
    This is a necessary accommodation for the visually impaired, and will also drastically increase ease of use for the average Adobe customer

  4. Add "Crop Image Data to Frames" option to PDF Export (after first adding PDF Export).

    InDesign can crop image data to frames, which can significantly shrink PDF files. Why is this long existing InDesign feature missing from Illustrator? Please add it. There is no excuse.

  6. Make the Prefix field bigger in the Export for Screens dialog

    In addition to adding a checkbox for AI filename (not complete), make the the "prefix" field longer in the Export for Screens dialog.
    I frequently have longer prefixes and it is a minor pain to scroll over to change a prefix name.
    There's plenty of room in that box to make it the width of the rest of the export screen.

  7. Display copies of links' duplicates as instances, like in InDesign

    It would be nice if Illustrator's link panel was more link InDesign's in that it collapsed instances of the same linked file into an accordion. The user can then update multiple instances of a file to the same new link or link them individually to separate new links.

    Masking simple and fast objects - Quo Vadis My Pallete?
    Illustrator has several practical methods for masking objects. Bravo and thank you!

    But in practice...
    object masking is superimposed and confusing. I know what I write. I use Illustrator 20 years at work and iine applications.

    On the forum you can also find many problems or ideas to improve this section. Dear Adobe team, you can certainly improve it.

  9. Visible keyboard shortcuts for actions

    In photoshop you can see the keyboard shortcuts for a created action right behind the action in the action-window. Why isn't this possible in illustrator?

  10. An option to include details in file name on export automatically

    Wish to export file as per artboard size/color/... (option to provide file details in file name)
    E. g: if artboard size is 1x1 inch and 3x4, once we exporting the file to somewhere, the file name becomes "filename1x1 inch01", "filename3x4 inch02",
    This is very easy for people who working with multiple artboard in a single file.

  11. Option to maintain aspect ratio when resizing objects by default, without holding Shift

    Currently, if you want to resize an object (by clicking and dragging a corner) without distorting it, you need to hold down the Shift key.

    I would like (at least the option) to have Illustrator maintain aspect ratio by default when resizing, and hold Shift to distort.

    Even fancier would be an option to set the behavior of the top/bottom and side "handles"... distort vs. resize while maintaining aspect ratio.

  12. Allow the user to choose artboards for spell check

    Allow the user to choose artboards for spell check, every time I make new changes it scans the complete document. If the user knows which artboard needs spell check or which range would be easy for people like me who suck at writing correct spelling.

  13. Ability to Designate Target Folder for Scratch Disk

    At the moment, the user can only specify a target drive which provides limited control. I have a specific 'cache' folder on one of my drives which I use for other programs and I'd like to be able to point Illustrator to this folder as well. If applications don't let the user designate a specific folder, you end up with dozens of cache folders springing up all over the place. In today's data heavy world, keeping things organised is more crucial than ever.

  14. Text to outlines on save PDF

    My printers require fonts to be outlined. This is a huge hassle. I need to convert everything to outlines, save the PDF, and then remember to undo my outlining before I save the AI file.

  15. adobe illustrator CC 2018 I pay for monthly. The switch from color photo to grayscale feature not available

    the Grayscale from color photo feature is not available in my adobe illustrator CC 2018 I pay by the month for. I have to switch photo to grayscale in illustrator 6 then open in CC2018. How can this be corrected. Jer-Anny /Jerry L. Evans

  16. Drag to "bevel" a shape.

    I'd like to have a bevel tool.

    One for "Below" and one for "On top"

  17. Please included library "groups" when sharing library. When shared everything is appearing ungrouped. A problem on large projects.

    When I go to creative cloud and view my shared library, I expect to see it organized they way I have organized it in illustrator. I have organized it in a way that makes it easy for my team to find what they need. Currently when I share my library everything is appearing ungrouped which is a problem. I'm attaching the number of groups that I have in my shared library as an example and a screen capture from creative cloud. In illustrator you can "View by Group" which is how I have organized my assets. On creative cloud there…

    Es mejor la version anterior porque no presenta tanto problema , se me bloquea
