better handling for Print to Laser Machines
sending a job "print" to laser machine Illustrator is quite slow and doesn't handle vector and bitmap below 333 dpi.....
I had to switch to corel draw to be able to "print" vectors @ 0.001 and bitmaps at 250 dpi.... in illustrator it reads vector with at 250 dpi as bitmaps! (dpi should not matter for vectors)

wacom
Have been unable to transform using my Wacom intuos pro in illustrator for the last few versions. The selection tool constantly defaults to rotate the object unless I zoomed right in. It is incredibly frustrating for workflow.
I have contacted wacom who advised the issue is with Illustrator and not the tablet.1 vote -

Improve snapping strength
Currently, there is a "snap to point" feature in illustrator. However, I find that it works poorly. Often, I create guides, create geometric shapes on those guides, and move them overlap, join, or intersect to make new shapes. Currently, when I create a shape, I notice the shape will snap to a guide, but when I zoom in all the way, it will not be exact. Also, when I try to move two shapes together, I will experience the snapping effect, but it often is not lined up when I zoom in.
Is it possible to improve the snapping to…

Add ability to rebind artboard names to their numbers
In my work I add and delete artboards during work.
When artboard is created, it's given a name, corresponding it's number.
When custom artboard is deleted, numbers of next artboards are shifted (it's OK), but names stay the same.So when job is done, I can have something like this:
1. Artboard 6
2. Artboard 8
3. Artboard 9
4. Artboard 10
5. Artboard 12
and so forthSince the last number is almost as noticeable as first one, it's hard to pick up correct ones for export.
I have a script written to fix this, which renames artboards to…43 votes -
Free Distort Bounding box doesn't follow shape
I know this isn't a bug, but it definitely feels that way. The Bounding box when using the free distort reset back to the initial shape and doesn't follow the shape you are shaping, Which makes it virtually impossible to make fine tuned distortions. The way it works in Photoshop is the way it should be.
I see people have complained about this for YEARS!
I cannot see a single use case where the current way is preferable. And using the effect Free Dstort isnt anybetter, since you don't get a visual representation on the artboard of what you are…

Update corner widget so it is not constrained by other points...
Currently, other anchors on a path will constrain the corner widget. Attached is a very simple example. I would like for the tool to be a bit more intelligent in how it handles corners in these situations.

Can't scroll through fonts and have text change while scrolling anymore...?
I am not sure why this feature changed but I use a lot of different fonts in my industry and its great to be able to scroll through fonts and have text change while scrolling so I can see what they look like without having to click on each font to see how the text looks. This will take forever now. Is this a bug or a feature you will be fixing?

Lag from Adobe Draw to Desktop application in Mac
There is a lag from Adobe Draw App (on the iPad) to Desktop application in Mac. It is seamless from Ipad to Microsoft. I have to restart my Mac to get the transfer working. It is a pain as I am between tasks, to have to close all my files to restart the applications. Please look into it, appreciate it!

Reverse Track a Linked Image
I would be like to be able to find an image (jpg/png) in my files, and see what documents it is linked to in InDD and AI.
I do a LOT of image linking, and it would help me (perhaps in Bridge? don't know what's best) to be able to open an image file, and see what documents I have linked it to.
It would help me track how many times I've used something already, who (of my clients) have already seen it, and often I can remember the image, but not what I've used it for.

Search field in Graphic Styles palette
I draw comics, and use Graphic Styles a lot. They let me give names to anything from flat fills to complex appearance stacks with multiple fills, strokes, and effects.
But once I've loaded in the styles for a full page, with multiple characters, background parts, and whatnot, the Graphic Styles palette starts to get pretty unwieldy. The attached screenshot is the entire height of my laptop screen; note how small the slider handle is!
I've put effort into giving all of these sensible names. It'd be lovely to be able to use that by having a search bar at…

Graph Data Label Decimal Exision
Previous versions of Illustrator's graph data labels matched the decimal points defined in the "Cell Style" field. The current version of CC removes any zeros at the end of the label - e.g. "3.00" is changed to "3", or "4.20" is changed to "4.2".
According to Adobe's Customer Care, this is an intended behaviour - but could it be an optional one? Having to manually append zeros to hundreds of labels is not an appealing prospect.

Transform Each: transformation origin
In the Transform Each dialog, particularly when selecting a corner of the selection as the origin, the appearance of the objects is taken into account, i.e. if you have strokes on the objects, they will be included in the selection "bounding box", and thus change the origin of transformation accordingly. While this could be the expected behavior, it really should be optional, that is, the origin of the transformation should also possibly be based on the vectors themselves, and not their appearance.
All in all, Transform Each is powerful and very useful, but very much under-designed. There are already other…

Let the "." on the numeric keypad work as a decimal separator for all countries.
In Dutch, we user the comma as a decimal separator. (0,5 is how we write a half)
Lots of use use the International English keyboard, and the English versions of Adobe CC. But for some reason Illustrator refuses to recognize the "." on the numeric keypad as a separator. When I type "7,2" Illustrator show this correctly in the input fields, but when hitting enter, it makes "72", just skipping the comma.
Please make a Preference to set the "." or "," on the numpad always to act as a decimal separator.20 votes
