  1. Press Shift (for proportion) turn Arrow

    When Pressing Shift (for proportion drawings or scaling) turn Arrow or Current used tool to Red (now in InDesign and others it's White for Snap to Page edge).
    In addition turn to other colors for other new thinkable functions (i.e Command + Shift = Green, etc) gives a user a reminder on screen to what he is using on keyboard. Could be the colour of the layer-color used or... I leave it to you guys :-)

    Make New Swatch always available, not only when the Fill Color is active.

  3. Import PDF comments in Illustrator

    The option to import PDF comments in InDesign is a great feature.
    Adding this feature to Illustrator would be a great solution for people working in the packaging world.

  4. Transform Effect with manually adjustable anchor position

    The current Transform Effects has a very limited anchor position setup (that 9 squares in the bottom corner). To make a custom anchor position, we must input "horizontal" and "vertical" value manually which is very ancient.

    Rotation tool with Transform Again method is an alternative when creating a mandala thingy, but it if we want to alter the shapes, we have to repeat the rotation and transformation again, which is another ancient stuff.

    Adding a simple clicking right on the artboard for placing the anchor point of Transform Effects would be great. We can just set up the anchor point…

  5. metadata

    Please update the ability to add metadata to a file, similar to the way you can with Adobe Lightroom Classic. The current file info feature is difficult to understand and you have to drill way down to get your information into the metadata.

    The ability to create Metadata presets that you can easily apply to files. The metadata preset would include:
    - Basic file information
    - IPTC Content, Copyright, Creator, etc. info
    - Keywords

  6. Show linked file page number and change page of PDF easily

    For example, I have a multi-page PDF file in my hand.
    I choose PDF file in illustrator and I can't understand which page of PDF.
    How I can understand which page of PDF file.

  7. Which profiles should be used when viewing pdfs?

    Hi, today I had a problem like this:

    I created a pdf from an illustrator file, it was a montage of many labels only in black.

    Then visualizing them with acrobat pro with "fogra 27" was perfect, but my service used "fogra 39" and the black was split into CMYK.

    Then, by ripping the pdf to make the plates, black was displayed only in black.

    Which profiles should be used when viewing pdfs?

  8. Previous versions of illustrator showed the id of individual elements within layers in the layers window

    Previous versions of Illustrator would show the id of individual elements within layers in the layers window. Now they just show as "path" or "compound path." I generate maps as svg files from a database with a program of my own design and then import them into Illustrator for final editing. Sometimes there is a problem with one or more elements. Before I could go to Illustrator, select the problem element, and see in the layers window what its id was. Then I could go to my database and fix the problem. I can't do this anymore.   9. Allow to locally customize the assets from CC library within a document, similar to components in Figma

    I'm working for a company who makes workwear and we're having an issue with the creative cloud library.

    We've made al of these symbols in the creative cloud libraries, but we've seen that we can't manipulate these in 1 document.

    For example, we're making a coat.
    First we take the front out of the library, then the sleeves and a pocket.
    We see that it is impossible to change these objects in this new document.
    These drawings from the library are added in the document like pictures, that's why we can't colour them for example.

  10. Preserve the transparency (opacity %) when a file is exported.

    If I want to create overlays (think of Instagram filters), I want to be able to preserve the opacity %. So that I can take this overlay and place it over other images.
    The way it works currently is if I export the object and place it on another image, all the transparency is lost and the object is set to 100% opacity.

  11. Cursor Key distance > 1296px

    For some reason, the Cursor Key distance can't be bigger than 1296px. I would like it to be as big as the document maximum.
    For some tasks, such as making big pattern tiles, it is very convenient to have a big distance under these keys.

  13. Support SVG text-anchor styling on import/export

    I often copy SVGs that I created with JavaScript (through D3.js) from a browser into Illustrator to continue working on it there. However, the text-anchor setting (left, middle or right aligned) does not come through and it is always left aligned, although the position might seem like it is middle or right aligned. Once you choose a different font or font-size, the mismatch between the original text align and what Illustrator has made of it becomes very apparent and can be quite the chore to adjust.

  14. Please make cursor track wider when moving to selection list menus

    On a laptop, the Illustrator screen is very detailed. The screenshot shows how, when object>transform has been selected, it is necessary to hold down the mouse button and slide the mouse so that the cursor is guided down a very narrow blue track. If you stray off after careful steering to almost the end, you have to start again. Why not make the blue track much wider, so that you do not have to exert such close manual control?   15. Asset Export Alt-Drag

    Why did you guys require that the existing functionality of dragging a group into the asset export panel now requires the addition of "Alt" - now i have to "Alt-Drag" an item, otherwise the selection breaks apart into all the groups. "Alt-Drag" should have been the keystroke for breaking the asset into groups, leaving the regular drag and drop as is - as people have learned that method already.

    Were there user studies conducted that indicated that it was better to change the default behavior, and make the standard behavior do something different?

  16. Toolbar saving and reset. Workspace including keyboard shortcuts.

    Nice that you can make your own toolbar. But why didn't you make it like in Photoshop? You can save it to a file, so it would be possible to reset if I make a mistake: then I just reload it. The interface of Photoshop is easier to understand. And when you're working on this: why can't I just reset the toolbar to what has been saved previously?

    Also about the interface: nice that I can make my own keyboard shortcuts, but I would like to save that in my workspace, along with my tools and my panels.

  17. Complete user-defined default settings

    The work I do for my company has certain defaults that go beyond the layout of my workspace. I only use one font, I always need the same set of color swatches, I use the same tolerance amounts, etc. I export to PDFs the same way every time, I essentially need the same options. (And even with a template, I have to start from scratch for many of these options.)

    While I can save certain usual elements in my CC Library, I waste so much time saving and opening and searching. AND even then, I still have to reset the…

  18. Batch action to include Image Trace with ignore white plus expand

    I would like to use Image Trace including advanced setting ignore white, plus expand to get paths, in a batch action. I can do these as separate actions, but not in combination on one image and not at all as a batch process. I confirmed this is a limitation of illustrator currently with your support reps in live chats. If you could add this in your next update that would be great! Thanks.

  20. Adobe Stock info available in-app

    It would be really helpful to have access in-app to complete information for Adobe Stock Assets, especially the content creator, so that I can credit the image properly in my work. Perhaps a re-tool of the info available in the Libraries panel would be the best way, or even an "i" icon over the image next to the purchase icon?
