Allow me to change filename and file size dimensions with "Export as..." option
I can no longer save my file with it's filename when exporting an artboard for client review. I would like to be able to have control over the naming of the file and the dimensions I export to (especially when building out billboard art files). If there was an option that showed file size and dimensions like in the previous "Save to Web" that would be optimal

Convert a Type on Path object to a Point Type text and a normal Path (Detach / Release Text from Path)
If you accidently select a path with the typing tool and save it without undoing it, there's no easy way to change it back to a normal path. You have to use the direct select arrow and click on all segments of the path, then copy and paste it, then join. You cant even click and drag to select all segments. Could there be an easier way to turn this back into a normal path?

The property bar can be made better.
I am a designer from Russia and I am delighted with the "properties" panel. The idea of making the panel universal is fascinating. I see the future of Ai in the fact that the program itself will open the necessary settings, depending on the selected object. Unfortunately, the "properties" panel is far from ideal, but I am sure that it is the future. My idea is this. This panel cannot be used by beginners, so the explanations are meaningless. I think all explanations should be removed, and functions should be replaced with buttons. Then, perhaps, this panel will fit everything…

Option to auto-sharp an anchor point when using the pen tool.
By default when making a anchor point with the pen tool it gives you a curve anchor(2 direction handles). I request that we have the option to make it a sharp anchor(1 direction handle).
Currently in order to make a sharp anchor you have to go back and select the anchor again. This is a slow method if you only draw in sharp anchors. By having this new option it will be lot faster and easier to draw in this style.
3 votesYou can do that by holding Alt right after you click the first point with the Pen tool and releasing it after you finish dragging the handle out. This creates legitimate corner point with one hadle.

An "Illustrator Lite" that cuts out everything except the essential vector functions, and actually responds quickly.
Illustrator is just way too slow. If you just drag an item, it really needs to follow the mouse. Everything needs to be snappy. It's just way slower than it was in the old days. Don't tell me it's something to do with my system. It's just too slow. Make it as fast as Figma.
Perhaps a way to do this is just to have a version that removes a lot of the kruft, and is purely a vector-based program without a lot of the other features, such as bitmap manipulation, styles, etc.

Keyboard shortcut to invoke the search box under the Help menu
I swear there used to be a keyboard shortcut to do this. Given the relative complexity of Illustrator, I rely on search to locate less frequently performed actions. I currently navigate by mouse up to the Help menu (which automatically gives the Search field focus), where I type in the first few characters of the action I wish to perform (results are refined as I type in more characters); this way, I can simply select the action I want right from the Help menu. It would be great if I could forego the mouse entirely and invoke that Help menu…

Do the 'Effects menu' as the After Effect's
Why don't you make the AI effects menu as practical as the AE's menu? It is much easier to type in what do you want.

Make Adobe Stock Images and Vectors avialable to earlier versions of the app.
Remember there are a lot of people that use Creative Cloud but are limited by the equipment they are using. The latest version of Illustrator I can use on my computer is 2019 and when I try to save or open a vector from Adobe stock I am informed that I need the latest version to continue. This is not possible. If you wish to offer free images/vectors make sure they are free and accessible to other versions other than the latest. Please do not increase user frustration by misleading what is available.

Add more Live Shape Presets
Please add shape presets for common shapes such as donuts, pies, tear-shapes, double stars (stars with two different lengths of points), square stars, cloud shapes, trapezoids, double arrows, cogs, and crescents. This would streamline the process of creating flat vector icons if there were shape presets for these common shapes. The idea would be to add adjustable anchor points to preset versions of the shapes mentioned above that the user could adjust in the menu or control panel. For example, for the cloud shape, the two parameters could be the number of bubbles & the inner radius(the radius of the…

Full Unicode Support and Unicode Hexadecimal Input Support with the Alt key
Please add full Unicode support to Adobe Illustrator. I understand many Unicode characters are not supported by different fonts but it would be great if there was support for Unicode characters such as angle brackets, ⟨a, b⟩ that are supported by certain fonts that incorporate a wide range of Unicode characters. For example, the Noto font family supports over 64,000 Unicode characters. It would also streamline the workflow if there was a way in Illustrator to enter Unicode characters using the Alt key (in Microsoft Word, if you type the hexadecimal code of a Unicode character, then press Alt+X, it…

Customize Export Formats
I use only two export formats on a regular basis. It would be nice if could disable the formats I don't use. It is cumbersome to have to scroll through all the formats every time I use them. In older AI versions, each format was like a plug-in file that could be removed if not being used. It would also be nice if individual formats could be assigned keyboard shortcuts.

Create an Action from History Panel
Ok... I've hit on an idea.. I think. Have you ever been experimenting and hit on a great idea, or manually created an effect to lettering, and would like to apply the same treatment to other objects?
This could be an option in the Actions panel to create an Action from history. This would involve a couple new tools. A History panel like Photoshop, and an option to create an Action from already performed steps.

Select multiple identical objects and make each its own group.
I'd love to see a feature in which you could select a bunch of similar objects, each of which had multiple parts, and it would automatically make each individual object into its own group. For example, I just drew an oval with a line down the middle - which is a leaf. I copied and pasted it 100 times but didn't make it into it's own group first (oops). If I could just select them all and make each it's own group, it would save me going back and grouping them first and doing it all again. They're a pain…

Would be nice to add an additional document color mode with CMYW or CMYKW
Would be nice to see a feature to include the color white in the document color mode as either CMYW or CMYKW as an addition. There are printers that use all 5 printer color inks. (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, and White)
Special printers that utilize white ink to print onto black (or dark-colored) t-shirts can be useful if white is included in the document color mode in Illustrator. This will play a huge role making white more vibrant from the printer.

Accessibility of tutorial videos, for users with hearing impairment
I am a new creative cloud user and need to use Illustrator as part of my university course so wanted to access the learn ‘how to’ tutorials, but found the video tutorials for Illustrator does not have ‘closed captions’ nor printable version of the text. I checked some of the other Adobe programs within creative cloud and they are the same, so I contacted Adobe online chat who sent me on to an online dedicated adviser. I was then told no accessibility options available for the tutorial videos.
Please could you pass my feedback to Adobe….
