"operation cannot be completed for unknown reason [!now]" when outputting large png
Trying to export as png, art size is 80cm x 80cm, trying to save anything greater than 800ppi results in "operation cannot be completed..."
Operation is successful at anything up to 800ppi - file size at 800ppi is 120.9 MB.

Saving .ai file on Catalina taking way too long
Saving (command + S ) .ai file on Catalina taking way too long. Force quit applications says illustrator is not responding, left alone for about 8 minutes, it finally saves.

Double "replace" dialog boxes, no file name highlighting
When I use "Save a Copy" to render EPS files of multiple artboards, I get a "Replace" dialog box as the first AND last of four dialog boxes. Previous OS had just one Replace instance as the last step – same as Photoshop's "Legacy Save for Web."
In addition – and this is much more frustrating and tedious – the file name is not highlighted, forcing me to use the mouse to activate the dialog box (tabbing doesn't work) and then select the text apart from the file tag. Having to manually select text to begin file naming is RIDICULOUS.

Can't save or Save As on new file in Illustrator
Using latest Catalina and latest Illustrator. I have 2 files open. One is an existing file which has been changed. I hit Save, but the file name continues to show the asterisk indicating that it needs to be saved. The other file is new and has not yet been saved. I go to Save As, get the beachball for a few seconds, then nothing. I can't save the file. Save a Copy also fails.

Some files are gray in MacOS 10.15.1 open/place dialogs
When accessing the open/place dialog on MacOS 10.15.1, some file names are gray while others are the normal black. They are still selectable, but gray. It looks like you can't select them, though. Disconcerting.

Illustrator file not changing modification time and date after image link updating
When I modify a photoshop image and illustrator automatically updates the link you can close the file without saving so it recognized the image link modification but did not require a save when closed. at this point file date and time do not update to current image replacement. this poses a serious problem in the commercial print industry. Archiving files is based on modification dates and times. If you don't update time and date on file with new image placed it has not

PDF Import Problem
Opening a PDF in Illustrator 2019 23.1.1 - I select which page I want to open eg. 2 of 2, and it only opens the first page (not the page I wanted). No I'm not inputing the page numbers in the preview page panel (just in case you think that I am).
Import PDF pages as links is 'unchecked'.
Troubleshooting:
1) It works correctly if I open 'all' page with 'links checked'.

The PDF is unprotected automatically after I save a protected file in Illustrator.
I had tried to open a protected PDF in illustrator and made some changes. After I clicked the "Save" button, I found that the PDF was not protected with password anymore. Could I keep it protected as original file do, without saving as a new file and protect it again? Thanks!

Receive PDF-X4 compatible PDFs when exporting X4 compatible
Files exported with X4 PDF standard do not get the X4 approval by the Acrobat preflight. It always mocks transparency color settings. Is there a setting that I'm missing or is it a built-in bug?

Dropbox saving issue
When I try to save a new file on, save as and choose it to save on dropbox. The folder I've selected that I want my file in, immediately start syncing all my online-only files to local.
Please see attached for visual explanation.
Does any1 know a way to work around this?

"Export for Screen" default folder is one specific folder and wont change
When i use "export for screens" the default export location is one specific folder on my desktop, if i move that folder or put it in the trash, the default export location will change accordingly to "follow" the location of the folder.
This happens for all files, also if i create a new file. A screenshot of this phenomenon is attachedFor reference, im on MacOS Mojave 10.14 and (the newest) Illustrator (CC 2019) 23.0.6

Text with small caps is not exported correctly to SVG
When setting the small caps variant to a piece of text, this information gets lost on SVG export.
How to reproduce (Winx64, 23.0.3):
- Create a new document
- Add some text, e.g. "Some Text"
- Activate the small caps property for the text
- Export the document to SVG via File -> Export -> Export As...In the resulting SVG document, the text does not appear as small caps but instead is capitalized, e.g. "SOME TEXT".
Expected behaviour: the text should appear with small caps with the help of the font-variant: small-caps; CSS attribute.

Adobe Illustrator crashes when trying to create or open file..
I decided to use Illustrator today and when i tried to make a new file, it would open and just stay grey and eventually it would stop responding and i would have to force quit it. I tried to open a file and edit it but the same thing happens. I am using Adobe Illustrator CC 2019.

O meu adobe Ilustrator, esta com erro de travamento. principalmente quando vai salvar um arquivo., le trava e fecha. Já não sei mais o que fazer. Esse problema começou depois da atualiazação.

White is invisible in JPG after Export for screens from CMYK color space
I had an issue when Exporting from a CMYK document with the Export for Screens... Option. I exported an artboard with a white (0, 0, 0, 0) logo on a black (0, 0, 0, 100) background and it turned out as a completely black JPG. I tried to change Export settings and colors but it always turned out wrong. As soon as I changed the color space to RGB it worked correctly.

svg import - Support of class assignments at group level
AI 23.0.3 on Win 10
We tried to open a svg created with another tool in AI but there are always display problems. So we compared svg code created in both tools of a filled rectangle and a line.
AI ignores the settings of the svg because of NO support of class on group level (g class). CSS is also not always read well.Is there a possibility to fix this problem?

Svg export
Hi! I met with you at CreativePro conference in Seattle. I would like to see more control when exporting svg from Illustrator. More specifically, the ability to remove the title tag when exporting. If not, that's ok, the svgomg site cleans up svg code well. Thank you!

Thanks a lot for reporting the issue here. We are currently looking into when we write add the title element and when we don’t.
For more context: The problem you mentioned at CPro was the tool tip that shows up when hovering the mouse above an -embedded SVG document.

Can't open a second illustrator file by double clicking
If I double click on a .ai file to launch illustrator and work on that file immediately, everything works fine. but if, after that, I try to do the same with a second or third .ai file, they won't open. the only way to open multiple files is to first launch illustrator (without double clicking an existing file) and then open the .ai files I want to work on.
it is very annoying and it has been reported many times, but adobe claims to have fixed it with the latest version (23.0.3) which is not true.
